A pleasant neighborhood restaurant Overall a nice experience. We say outside so I didn't see the interior area of the restaurant. The outdoor seating was directly on a side road, so traffic drives right by our table periodically. But they have canopies and nice lighting to improve the ambiance. The food was very good and I enjoyed my sandwich entree. Only complaint was that it didn't come out as fresh/hot as I would have expected. Had to ask for dinner fresh fries to replace the cold ones I was served. I works rate the bar service and cocktails as average.
Fantastic place to have an excellent dinner in a peaceful setting then walk a few steps over to The Pub to watch The Final Four or any other sporting event! The dining area has a relaxed bar area as well but both are very well insulated, we did not hear any noise from The Pub. Service was outstanding and even accommodated reservation for a party of 9 at 8pm. Steaks and burgers had a little char to them which half of us loved and half did not. The brownie sundae is pure evil - not too sweet, moist, light, and delicious. The Pub is long and narrow and has 30 TVs and, while full, we all had our elbow room watching the Carolina vs Duke basketball game. The crowd was basically middle aged grown-ups who knew how to have fun as fans without being obnoxious meatheads; couples and singles friendly.Tip: park behind it in the CVS parking lot as street parking is limited. We will be back!
They offer a great variety of delicious food. I love dining here. Staff members are always kind, rates are fair and the spot is always clean.
American food, well made, at reasonable prices and a pleasant dining atmosphere. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating.
Service was slow at 1:30. Only 1 waiter . Only 4 people in dining area. More were in side bar/tv room. Simple order: 3 burgers, 1 portabello burger. Food was good.
Ordered the pulled pork sandwich with Carolina sauce, chicken penne and half rack of ribs. The ribs were plan B in case either of the other two were sub-par. The sauce on the pork tasted more like spaghetti sauce than Carolina BBQ sauce. The pasta was like chicken noodle soup. The quality of the ribs was poor and the accompanying fries were cold, limp and greasy. We hadn't eaten all day, spent $65 for this and still wouldn't eat it. Disappointed ?
We enjoyed this place. We stopped here for drinks. We had a beer and hot ciders. They were good. We decided to get some food. We added a burger, fries, chili, and a salad. All were good. Service was great. Prices were reasonable. I would recommend this place.
The steak salad is phenomenal and the service is great. Definitely next-level bar food!
There's simply no nice way to put my experience and Ramparts. I came in at around noon and sat at the bar. I was greeted by Linda, the bartender and ordered a beer. After sitting for a few minutes I realized Linda, who wasn't wearing a mask, was also sick and sneezed into her hands multiple times and blew her nose with an old tissue she kept in her pocket. The worst part was that she didn't even wash her hands, not even once. Then she goes to pour my beer and grabs the glass with her unwashed, sneezed on hands very close to the top where I have to put my mouth. What bothered me also, was that it seemed the manager was right there witnessing everything with a smile on his face, as he repeatedly said "bless you" to sneezing Linda. If you have any food safety standards/ value cleanliness, don't dine here. As others have mentioned, they definitely don't put an emphasis on cleanliness. I can't imagine what goes on in their kitchen if this is what is happening at the bar where everyone can see.
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. Creative chef, very fresh ingredients. My favorite is the Stone Steak Salad but I can sometimes be lured away by special monthly dishes.
