The place itself looks nice, but the problem was the food that was terrible. I ordered a half rack ribs with the monster mac and cheese and the ribs were way too dry to be called ribs. It was very hard to chew on, its not easy to rip apart. Ribs supposed to be juicy and soft, where its easy to chew on. The monster mac and cheese on the other hand was great. The staff was super friendly, but its just the food itself that needs some work.
This past weekend I used Pork Barrel BBQ catering for a party I was hosting. THEY WERE FABULOUS. First off, I was a very nervous party planner and I called a couple times to talk through my order and each phone call really put me at ease. The first time I called, I was able to place my order and they helped me figure out how much food I'd need and made helpful recommendations. The second phone call, I was able to add on more food when more guests confirmed and it was so simple because they're very organized! I even paid over the phone so friends could pick the food up for me and they raved about how helpful and kind all the employees were in person. NOW, THE FOOD. SPECTACULAR. Everything came perfectly packaged in reusable containers, which made clean up a breeze. The amount of food ordered ended up being just right - leaving us with some very coveted leftovers and leaving all our attendees with fully, happy bellies! ALL of the guests asked where the food was from because it was so delicious and they loved it. Honestly, this was such a great experience (I'm typing this over potato salad and brisket leftovers for breakfast..). Next time we host a large gathering, I will most certainly be ordering from Pork Barrel again. Thank ya'll SO MUCH!!! 10/10!
Somehow the meat has no flavor but the sides are all WAY over seasoned. I've never that much garlic or salt poured into something while the meat tasted like cardboard. Possibly the worst BBQ I've ever had.
I love this place. They have good quality pork sandwiches, burnt ends, brisket, side orders, bottled beverages, and desserts. Always friendly staff and clean. Must try their remake of Carolina vinegar for your meats.
Decided to try the ribs and potato salad on delivery, and was overall satisfied. These aren’t “fall of the bone” ribs but they are packed with flavor and a decent size. Price is very fair too. And the salad is fresh and a great compliment to the fatty/spicy meat.
In from out of town, and tried this place on a personal recommendation, and OMG, it's amazing! Had the pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, and bread pudding, and everything was out of this world! I was with a large group, and every person said the same thing. Staff was super friendly and the food was out in no time. I really can't say enough good things about our experience!
Decided to stop here to watch the Winter Olympics at the bar. The food was delicious and the service was good too. Nice size portions and reasonable prices. The pulled pork was piled high on the bun. I was pleasantly surprised by how tender and flavorful the collard greens were. Will definitely come back again.
Really dry meat . No smoked just cooked in th oven and the mixed with some bbq seasoning. And of course they offer a bunch of sauces. This is not a place to eat good bbq it is a places just to eat meats
Great bartenders. Drinks were amazing and we love the bbq there always. The sides are yummy too.
We've come here regularly in the past and always found the food delicious and the atmosphere great. Staff not always friendly and the bar service is slow. Not a dealbreaker though. However we recently brought our toddler, so we had a need for the high chairs. They were probably the nastiest high chairs I've seen and looked like they came from the dumpster. Interestingly, since having children I've learned that the condition of a restaurant's high chairs offer a sneak preview of how they regard their cleanliness. Luckily we had a disposable cover to use, but come on guys, don't shortchange our kids on cleanliness when we visit. Deep clean those things!
