pops is my favorite ice cream place in old town! the flavors are fairly classic but so delicious. the prices are pretty cheap and the servings pretty large. while pops ice cream scoops are amazing, i go for the sundaes. they have many different sundae options, some classic and some more unique. i’ve tried the campfire (s’mores), the johnny appleseed (apple pie with caramel), and the old towner (pecan pie with chocolate and caramel). my ride or die is the old towner, followed by the campfire. the johnny appleseed is also great, but the old towner is just flawless. pops is a great place to end your night by the water, or just to enjoy a amazing sundae or ice cream scoop.

It is so yummy. I really like how they have reasonable prices comparing to their portion. I ordered rocky road and coffee. I like the coffee more

We always go to Pops ice cream, we have a Pops. Good old ice cream shop, the way they use to be. Many choices of ice cream flavors, and toppings. We wish they could somehow add more seating. The restuarnt next door servers their ice cream delights for dessert!

The first ice cream of our vacation, very good. Started us on a regular afternoon ice cream where ever we were

Gem of a place in old town Alexandria. This place was on our list to try while visiting the historic old town of Alexandria, the flavors are great and the ice cream was quality, we tried kahlua chocolate chip and loved every bit of it. I recommend this place to all ice cream lovers, a must visit.

I visited Pop's on my birthday; I was not in a cake mood and really wanted ice cream. My family and I were visiting for the weekend and chose Pop's after dinner. We all enjoyed our ice cream. We didn't wait long in line and the prices were fair. I ordered The Brown Dog sundae and it was soo good. I couldn't even finish it, great portions.

Although the ice cream tastes good, they don't give samples anymore because of, you guessed it, covid. Hello! You scoop a sample the SAME way you scoop the ice cream to sell it... with a spoon. Don't try to tell me you can't give me sample before I chuck over $5 dollars for a scoop. And the scoops are getting smaller and smaller every year. Pass this place up and get yourself a pint from the grocery store.

You can enter once you pick the correct red door. We got it right….on the 3rd try! We’ll worth the effort. So many choices to pick from. I got two scoops, the pistachio and peach. My wife got her usual, butter pecan. Both were outstanding and portions were generous. The price was also very reasonable. Definitely go back again when in the area.

Pop’s has a very retro look on the inside. They don’t make their own waffle cones so it is missing that fresh cone smell. They have a lot of ice cream flavors to choose from alongside a few flavors of Italian ice! There was a line to order and it was worth the wait! The ice cream was yummy and delicious! The pistachio was flavorful and the rocky road was good too with just a few ice flecks. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of ice cream received! Overall a very solid ice cream shop for when you’re in Alexandria!

Freshly arrived from France. We went for some fresh air before spring for a walk in Alexandria. Temperature was awesome and we stopped by Pops's Ice Cream. What a good idea!!!! Ice Cream was just excellent!!!! And the vendors was awesome. We chose, Vanilla-Pistachio and Black Rasperry-Chocolate. We felt like it was the same ice cream we always had when we were at St Tropez, at Barbarac Artisanale Ice Cream. We will be back soon.
