When we are in the neighborhood, it's always a pleasure to have a meal at The Pita House. Their pita is lighter weight than at other restaurants - sort of like the difference between a piece of bread and a wrap. I prefer The Pita House pita style. Delicious creamy hummus. Salad with salmon is a big winner. And the waitstaff are efficient, attentive, and friendly.
We decided to stop in for lunch and order the salmon sandwich. It was our first time at this restaurant and the guys working there were super hard working. They got our order made quickly and efficiently. Hard working small businesses are the only place we like to give our money to these days and this place is the definition! The fries are amazing too!
This is an absolute local gem and our favorite for any kind of Mediterranean. Their hummus and shawarma are to die for. And the service great - they take great care of their customers. There was a mixup with our delivery order tonight and one of their gentlemen personally drove over an entirely new order, plus extra rice and an absolutely delicious rice pudding dessert comped as an apology. Total class. Highly recommend this place to anyone who likes great food and good service!
It was my first time at this restaurant yesterday afternoon and it was a great experience. Wait staff were actually nice and accommodating to my date and I. There were open seats available outside as well. Funny and entertaining waiter as well. Good Mediterranean food! The only opportunity would be the one parking spot to be moved up from our outdoor table but that might be outside of the restaurants control. Overall, I would recommend this place for Mediterranean spot in Old Town.
Went in for some appetizers and was not disappointed. We tried the hummus special, which was topped with your choice of chicken or beef shawarma (we got chicken). The hummus was the best I've ever had, so light and fluffy, and the chicken was so flavorful! We also tried the falafel which was also the best I've had. I would definitely go back and try their entrees. Very fresh, homemade tasting, and delicious! Try the Lebanese beer while you're there too.
Fantastic food. Would highly recommend the baklava and the appetizer sampler.
One of the few places that was open for dinner on Christmas Day with no line to get in. Despite the name, there’s much more to this restaurant than pitas! It offers authentic and reasonably priced middle eastern food. Perhaps the closest it comes to how this kind of food actually tastes across the ocean.Very friendly and quick service. I’m glad we stumbled upon this restaurant and gave it a try.
Abel was an amazing server. The food was amazing too. It was my first time having Turkish Coffee. I'm in love. You should come have the true experience. You won't regret it.
Great food and service. We went on a Saturday evening during Thanksgiving holidays and still got very friendly service. They have a vegetarian entree section and many other vegetarian appetizers. Food is delicious, and also somewhat different from other Mediterranean restaurants. Some vegan options too. Will visit again!
Excellent service. Would appreciate some more variety on domestic vs non-domestic beers. Miller Light only domestic; Heineken and Lebanese beer on non-domestic list. Food preparation is fresh and very tasty. Definitely start of with the combination platter to share with the table. Would be good as a starter for 3 to 4 people. Will come again.
