My friend highly recommended Narmaste, and I now understand why. The restaurant itself looks very nice on the interior. Our waitress was fantastic! She gave excellent recommendations, was very professional with her service, and took great precaution for our friend who has several allergies. The food was so delicious most of it was consumed in the blink of an eye. In regards to spice there are 4 levels. The 3rd level, though spicy, is very manageable. Though I can imagine the 4th level giving someone a run for their money! And I highly recommend the mango lassi if you enjoy mango.

Very tasty, spices are just right even tho I made it extra spicy. Most places' extra spicy vindaloo tastes watered down but these taste very good and it still packs a good punch. Will be back for more.

Jy, Stenly, Rinky and Team,Thank you very much for your excellent hospitality. The food was absolutely delicious! My compliments to the Chef. One can rarely see such teamwork to deliver a great total-experience; Service and taste. If you are in Washington, DC, make sure you stop by for a visit. It is a must!

We love this restaurant and frequently order from it. Their chicken biryani is definitely THE best…I’ve had this dish from countless restaurants and it’s so frequently dry and lacking in flavor, but not here. It’s truly so great. Also love their appetizers!

Good food, great service, reasonable prices. We had a nice family style meal in an alcove table that was very pleasant and the kids really enjoyed the atmosphere. The owner and the staff were very welcoming and made sure we had a wonderful meal. Would definitely go back.

In town for a conference. Went in alone- sat promptly. Staff were all extremely friendly, warm, and welcoming. Manager/owner sat me- so nice from start to end. Reiki (sure no where near the spelling, sorry) was a so sweet- she provided me suggestions when I told her I wanted something very hot and nothing disspointed. Started w/a cocktail- it was well balanced- and pakoras- OMG!! they were so delish- I could drink the chutneys that came on the side- yes Please! I will take a gallon of each. For my entree, I had the vegetable Jazfrezi hot--- it was soooooooo yummy, the basmati rice was perfectly fluffy, and garlic naan to dip in the sauce was to die for also. I am in town for a couple more days and don't know if I can resist going back both days!

Excellent food, great menu, and friendly competent service. Good for kids, adults, and families. They have large private tables. Prices are very reasonable. If you're staying in Old Town Alexandria, it's a great location too. The free trolley bus runs right by it.

The second we walked through the door, the aromas were amazing! Many GF options (just ask), large menu, full bar. Had drinks and apps. Tasted wonderful! Would go every week if we lived in the area.

The food and service at this restaurant was top notch! We were staying next door at a hotel and the hotel restaurant closed early so we ran next door. Everything here was flavorful and smelled incredible from the moment we walked in. The paneer appetizer was the highlight of our meal and I cannot recommend it highly enough. Attentive waitstaff was friendly and made us feel very welcome!!
