Excellent place. Not your typical Mexican place. The food was outstanding.

Best enchiladas I’ve ever had! My husband got the California fish tacos and absolutely loved them too. Best Mexican in the area and very authentic.

The food is really good but make sure you’re not in a rush because service is slow. There are no signs for self seating but When you walk in just grab a table and get their attention because there’s nobody to seat you and you will be standing in the entrance for a while. It took us about 25 minutes to get the chips and salsa but there were also 3 servers for the entire restaurant so I couldn’t get upset. Plus they were nice and it looked like they were also doing the cleaning.

the food was incredible and very authentic, not to mention that the prices are fair and the service and ambiance was impeccable, truly a piece of Mexico in DC

Really awesome food at this local Mexican restaurant. Great mole, and the margaritas are fantastic! Nice, chill, bar as well…great place to bring a friend and catch up, or your family for dinner!

Attentive friendly service and a broad range of dishes (lots being what you expect in a typical Americanized Mexican restaurant - first place I found pambazos) well prepared. The cocktails are a touch expensive but creative and tasty. I hesitate to review this place well because I don't want you crowding us out of our top Friday family dinner go-to joint.

The staff are all so nice! The food is delicious and authentic, it makes me remember home! A little pricey, but on par for the area. The environment is is fun and inviting. I would definitely go back!

Fantastic! Wow! This was certainly a soup with a zing to it. The flavor was full, and perhaps it was almost too spicy if not for the side condiments to curb the intensity. Delicious tacos as well. Great ambiance and very friendly waiters. Fast service and good feedback; our water cups were never empty. The two sauces provided with the chips were unique—neither was the traditional red salsa. There was a green tomatillo sauce and a red-orange, smooth sauce that tasted incredible when mixed with lime juice. The soup had hominy, beef chunks, a stringy spice-line reed set, and some miscellaneous, wimpy leafy vegetables. Great flavor, despite the lack of greenery! Really did enjoy this experience, and I will definitely be coming back.Expect ~$15/person.

Wow, what a wonderful surprise! The location betrays some fantastic food inside. We went for lunch on a very slow weekday afternoon. The fish tacos were perfect. Everything had such a fresh and balanced flavor and texture... It felt like fine dining quality Mexican food but in a much more casual setting. Prices were reasonable considering the food quality. This will be our new go-to for delicious Mexican food!

The food here is excellent, as is the service. Highlights include the ceviche (both the traditional and mixed) and the tacos, which are prepared in a traditional Mexican style that I really like. This is one of our favorite local restaurants. My Latina wife and I go frequently. We have not explored the extensive menu entirely, but of the many dishes we have tried, none has been a disappointment. The wait staff are very friendly and attentive. The indoor dining room is spacious and clean. Service is quick and accurate. We've eaten outdoors in the summer and it's pleasant.Highly recommended!
