Artistry with food. Delicious sushi.
Perfect neighborhood “Sushi & Asian Spice” dive. Ordered takeout of couple vegetarian dishes, orange chicken, shrimp tempura, and the May Island Hake sushi. All generous portions, vegetables were fresh and not overcooked, meats good & chunky, crispy fried batters, and the sushi was scrumptiously pressed, Osaka style. Compliments to the sushi chef! Ready in a jiffy, just the right amount of selections/variety, a go-to for Chinese food cravings.
Food is OK. This place is very popular so don't go during busy times. May Island has poor customer service. I ordered takeout and was given a pick up time. I showed up and waited almost 40 minutes after the appointed time without any feedback. I expected at least an apology for the tardiness, but I received nothing. Most likely I will not return.
Pleasing presentation with a tasty sashimi meal comes with miso soup, small salad , also loved the tasty shrimp fried rice and shrimp tempura. Wait staff was attentive. The restaurant is small and with a limited sitting area. Parking is limited but always worth it. Price is similar to most japanese restaurant. I would recommend making a reservation.

Great sushi at a reasonable price. Great staff! Small and casual.
PHENOMENAL FOOD!!!! A hidden gem, for sure! Great for takeout or a sit-down meal. They have an extensive menu - both Chinese and Japanese food. The service was phenomenal, including the waiter - he had extensive knowledge of the menu, was extremely attentive, and was very friendly (I think he may have been one of the chefs!). We stopped here for dinner on a low-key date night because the Google reviews were so great! I can’t believe this spot isn’t more popular.
The food here is not bad I think that is very tasty, but not sure if is Chinese or Japanese ? good portion but please add a little bit more rice to the order ?costumer service is great ?
The only sushi place I like. The perfect place to introduce someone to sushi if they don't know whether they'll like it or not
Very mediocre sushi. Salmon was mushy and it didn't look like they used sushi rice to make my order. I don't know what they used but my sushi was falling apart. It ended up being a plate of rice with salmon and avocado mixed into it. Very sketchy place also. The person who made my sushi stood up from the table he was eating at to make my order. I didn't even see him wash his hands ?
