Mae's Market and Cafe was a pleasant surprise on a recent overnight stay in Old Town. Here's why:1) Food: They sell breakfast pastries, lunch and lots of goodies in the market. We found something for each of us, including our five-year-old daughter.2) Coffee: Brewing Counter Culture, it was good! Our iced lattes were delicious. The one complaint was they didn't have simple syrup at the condiment bar.3) Space: It's spacious and the aisles are well marked. They have a large outdoor patio as well and indoor seating inside the large building behind the restrooms.
I went there to get a snack after walking around old town, and the staff were super friendly, and I was able to taste the bulgogi beef that they had, and got a free entree to take home from the chef. Would highly recommend for any meal, and as a good snack place for the future. Will definitely be going there again.
A wonderful local spot for breakfast and lunch! Excellent coffee delicious pastries made in house, yummy frittatas & quiche.

Everything is made from scratch with care & love. Fresh breads, pastries, muffins and cookies daily. Love the authenticity of the place. It’s food that makes you smile & do a little dance. Everything available from grocery, prepared meals, fresh baked goods, wine, beer, refreshing beverages, hot drinks such as coffee, & tea. Great spot to hang out and enjoy time with friends, family or on your own!
The variety of food is amazing and totally delicious...fresh, interesting combinations of salads and entrees to heat at home, and tasty sandwiches.
Love everything about this place, but gotta say the most surprising thing is the absolutely amazing tortilla soup and fresh baguettes to take home.
I just found out the pre-made meals can be heated up in the store, now endless options! Also, the quiche is a cloud of heaven, the lamb meatball sandwich is amazing and the coffee is always on point! Love it!
I've been here a few times and the food, drinks and service and always good. I also like how they have some household items for sale.
Coffee is excellent - perfect accompaniment to one of their breakfast sandwiches. (Thick cut) bacon + (over easy) egg + cheese makes for a satisfying start to the day.
