Jenis was a very great atmosphere, when walking in the smell of freshly cooked waffle cones flood your nose and the flavor selection makes you want to try everything. it was very difficult to choose a flavor, they all sounded terrific, I chose salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks, and a scoop of brown butter almond brittle in a waffle cone, great price! upon leaving the store and taking my first lick I was immediately transported back to my childhood with a very special treat that was one of a kind. I immediately went back in and bought 2 pints one of the salted peanut butter with chocolate flecks and butter cream birthday cake.

Great ice cream place. Their new Banana Brûlée ice cream is definitely worth a try or more.Wanted a late night ice cream and voila this place is open until 11pm.They have unique flavors which I haven’t seen anywhere. Staff was super friendly. Limited indoor seating and no outdoor seating. There’s parking just outside the place but might be difficult during the weekends. They have restrooms.

Jeni's is the best. The ice cream is very creamy and delicious. They have flavors that is unique to Jeni's. Staff was super friendly. They are open until 11pm (which is a bonus). Indoor seating is very limited. There is really no outdoor seating. It is located in Old Town. I found street parking easily (which is not usually for Old Town). I know I will go back to try other flavors.

Nice flavors. Staff was very overwhelmed when we visited. I felt stressed for them and didn't really want to got back based on that alone.

We loved the pancakes and maple syrup ice cream in the fresh waffle bowl!

Jeni's is a great little ice cream shop with a fantastic flavor selection that rotates. They always seem to have options for dietary restrictions so everyone can enjoy a nice ice cream social. The staff is friendly and efficient and the location very clean and inviting.

Jeni Britton Bauer founded Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams in 2002. Since then, the company has grown to include locations in 17 cities in 15 states, from Los Angeles to Washington, D.C., including nine locations in my hometown of Chicago, eight in Atlanta and seven in Texas. Along the way, Jeni has found time to author two best-selling cookbooks on the art of making ice cream and received a James Beard Award in 2012. My wife and I have visited locations in Chicago and Sarasota. And now we have visited the location at 102 South Patrick Street in Alexandria, Virginia, in the historic Old Town Alexandria district. No traditional flavors such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. instead, Jeni specializes in creations with unique flavors. How about Brambleberry Crisp, Cookies in Cream, Wildberry Lavender, Brandied Banana Brulee, Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Boston Cream Pie, Salty Caramel, Banana Cream Pudding, Pumpkin Cake Roll, Strawberry Buttermilk, Caramel Pecan Sticky Buns, Salted Peanut Better with Chocolate Flecks, Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Blackest Chocolate Cake, Darkest Chocolate, Gooey Butter Cake, Skillet Cinnamon Roll and Lemon and Blueberries Parfait? You won't find those concoctions at your favorite old-time ice cream parlor. Choose four pints to take home. My choices? Brown Butter Almond Brittle, Banana Cream Pudding, Pineapple Upside Down Cake and Boston Cream Pie. In Chicago, I always order eight pints to take home. Choosing the flavors is half the fun.

Such interesting, and unique flavours. The buttery cones and bowls add to the experience.

The smell of the place is divine. The homemade waffle cone is as good as a home baked cookie. You can get a waffle cone, bowl or just a wedge if you don't want to overindulge. The flavors of ice cream are creative and all of them look incredible.
