I travel to Alexandria VA 4 times a year. I never miss going to the Dynasty restaurant, never. Best Chinese food I have ever had in an elegant setting. Highly recommend!
This is my Aunt's favorite restaurant, so we took her there for a Mother's Day lunch. The food was fresh and tasty. The restaurant has a lot of waiters so service was quick. The hot and sour soup is excellent. We also ordered green beans, eggplant, crispy beef, sizzling scallops and shrimp, General Tso's chicken (we were a big group). I'm not a big fan if Chinese cuisine but I usually enjoy the food at this restaurant and would recommend it to others.
Gluten free Chinese food is super hard to find for those with Celiac disease. Did take out again from House of Dynasty on Telegraph Rd. in Alexandria. They offer dishes made with GF soy sauce, such as Hunan Chicken, Szechuan Chicken, fried rice, etc. I have celiac as does my son and we did not get sick. You should specify it’s for a severe gluten “allergy” so they prevent cross contamination. They offered over the phone that they take precautions against cross contamination.
Great food - and a lot of it - all with great service in a nice and clean environment! We had 3 people in our party and ordered the dinner for 3 option. It was all very good, and way more than we could ever eat….plan on taking food home with you. Sesame chicken is highly recommended!
This place MUST have new cooks and management. Today my lunch smelled musty. The sauces, hot mustard and duck sauce were on someones elses table and the waiter brought it directly over to our table. Never replaced the spoons so were handling the spoons that some else had just touched. The wall in front of me had splattered food climbing the wall and floor had food on the floor. This was very early lunch, so the mess on the floor was from the night before. Fortune cookie smelled like it had been in a container w/mildew. Food just did not smell right. I have been going there for over 15 years. Never seen a remodel nor a change in the kitchen. Due to strange stale odor, maybe they need a remodel of kitchen, new fridge, new stove, pans etc.
I have been going to this place for over 30 years and the quality and the excellent food has never changed. The best food at great prices. Great portions. You go there and you don't want to leave. I love this place!
The take out experience is horrible. They definitely need help. It's a help wanted sign on the window. I waited almost an hour to get my food and I was told 25 minutes. I ordered sesame chicken and beef broccoli. The sesame chicken did not look right. The chicken parts cut looked deformed. Didn't taste like sesame chicken. The egg rolls were real greasy like eating grease. $50 for what??? Lower your dinner prices, not worth the amount you pay..
This place is off its rocker! Their prices have gone through the roof. (2) meals $37 and to change to fried rice 4 extra dollars. $41! That’s insane for 2 meals.Go for lunch $12 combination meal amount of food!Sad and disappointing
The best Chinese restaurant in Northern Virginia, hands down. Everything is always perfect here, from the wait staff to appetizers & entree's to dessert. Very tasty adult cocktails too, I recommend the S.B. ? You will not be disappointed regardless of what you choose.
I don't know where to begin. The combination fried rice had no flavor. The lo-mein noodles were okay. The vegetable egg rolls were mushy and exceptionally greasy.This was my second time having them. I have decided I will not be back.
