Delicious! Very friendly! The food was delicious! Not sure if it was the day but I got street parking right around the corner. They have gluten free injera which is always good. The Lega Tibs were AMAZING! Unfortunately, I was by myself and had time to swing by here as I was waiting for a flight. Or else I wouldn’t come back with a friend or two and gotten a bunch of different things. I loved their shiro though! Wasn’t too spicy!
This was my first time eating Eithopian food. We got some falafel and hummus to start and ate every bit of it. I ordered dinner and the server asked if I wanted rice or injera. When I said I didn't know what injera was they brought out a plate with some (it's a spongy type of bread) with some lentils to scoop up, I thought this was very nice of him. Dinner was fantastic, large portion and food was very flavorful.
My go-to restaurant in the Alexandria area. They greet me like family when I walk in--even from the first visit. Food is flavourful, plentiful, and beautifully plated. Prices are extremely low--especially for the quality received. The vegetarian platter is my favourite--and the babaghanouj is a wonderful treat. The service is always wonderful--timely, friendly, and thorough. I never leave unsatisfied.
A++ and that was because I walked in and LOVED that it was family owned. Just a hard working family working there. Authentic feel!!! Loved the authentic paint work (pictures). Well priced for the Alexandria area. We got the $40 for 2 meal. I could have ate it by myself. The chocolate cake was soooo good!! And finally, bring your own wine!!!! It’s free. Super experience. The price for what we ate was okay. Not great but okay. A++++* service.
Ordered takeout from door dash. Food was tasty but the meat was swimming in a pool of oil. Enjera was good.
Elegant and homebody decor following by an immaculate selection of authentic Halal Ethiopian food for a reasonable price. Highly recommend it if you're in the area.
A delightful Ethiopian dining experience. Cute African hand painted settings on the walls. Wonderful, helpful staff. The food is absolutely delicious. Whether you are a first timer or a seasoned food critic, you will have a very enjoyable experience =)
The vegetarian platter combo is always the best. I love Ethiopian food! It's very tasty and filling here. The injera is served with a jalapeño relish that spicy and fantastic. The service at this restaurant is especially nice, and bonus fresh linen table clothes and comfy chairs.
It was my first time trying Ethiopian food and man was I impressed. The food was so flavorful and the meat was cooked to perfection. I Will tell you that food adds up quick because I got full so fast but I couldn't stop eating it! Definetly has its mom and pops type shop feel and will definitely be coming back. The owners Definetly know their returning customers because people would drop in just to say hi. Really says a lot about the restaurant. Definetly recommend checking this place out if you have the time!
Ethiopian food is a Godsend, so are Ethiopian people!! Lovely clean healthy happy restaurant with delicious food and wonderful people!! Generous portions of the most delicious food:)
