It's average to be honest. This is the first time I went there. Some good, had a variety of sea food along with sushi and pho. I liked the food. The bad, didn't offer different pho compared to other buffets, the pound per plate if you didn't eat kinda warded me away.To improve, the service wasn't that bad, but can be improved like the drinks in the beginning of the meal, I had to wait a few mins before I can get my drink. Also, the roof over has to be cleaned as well, looks like mold or dust. The final thing was the bowls looked like they bought them used from goodwill.Overall, I'll try it again once more to see if there's any improvement for the buffet.
Food was beyond mediocre, somewhat less than mediocre. Whole crab smelled awful and the smell stuck to everything, all their sushi tasted wrong, mac and cheese was hot and cold at the same time, the chocolate pudding looked like "something else" and the cake had a dusty texture. Would not recommend for special occasions
Lower tier Chinese buffet/sushi/hibachi. Nothing to recommend this place, except a couple of very pretty waitresses. The dessert is the standard cup of ice cream and a bar with bad cakes.
Some of the food was warm, some cold, especially the stuff like the General Tso's chicken and some of the other chicken, shrimp, and meat foods. Most of the fried foods section was cold as well. My mother complained to one of the servers about the coldness of her food when we first started eating, and they helped resolve the issue by microwaving her plate for her. Personally I liked most of the food I ate, especially this one lemon pepper white fish dish that they had. I just wished there was more of a selection of food (and fruits) here. This place looked great in the pictures, and I was excited to visit, but I couldn't help but feel a little underwhelmed when we were there.
Going in the sign say, sushi, sea food, prime rib, buffet. This was WRONG. There was no prime rib, not on the buffet and couldn't even order it. The octopus was old and way overcooked. The sushi looked like it was thrown on a plate and the plate thrown in the dinning room. The desserts had no flavor, at all. My "Pepsi had a oil looking shine on top. I went and got a bottle of water out of my vehicle. In short, very bad experience.
This place use to be one of my favorites, and I’ve been coming for many years. Today was my last day eating there. The food has gone down hill, and they really need to add more variety. The employees are nice, but the food is lacking some serious flavor, and is no longer worth the 30min drive I use to take, or the $60 I spend for my family. You’d be better off just ordering take out or visiting your favorite local Chinese restaurant at least you’ll enjoy the food. I guess that explains why its always so dead in there even on a Friday night. Oh, and for the folks raving about this place in the reviews you really must not get out much!
It is a buffet so don't expect really good food. The large variety of food here is okay and the prices aren't too bad. I really appreciate the quick drink refills. Cleaning was cool to watch as the woman flipped a booth table over to clean the floor and then kicked it back up. Nice table cleaning!

Pay no attention to bad reviews. My family and I are from NC and we travel to the Washington DC/Arlington VA area once a year, and each time we go, we make a visit to Green Olive. It is the same level of wonderful each time we visit. We will continue to go here. We love it and highly recommend it. The waitress we had was super nice.
My wife and I would frequently visit this buffet when we lived in Northern VA. We liked the large variety and choices provided on the buffet lines.I can't say that our return trip was completely disappointing, but some of our past favorites were missing. Gone were the Spicy Peel Shrimp and Frog Legs. We did enjoy the baked fish and fried plantain ?. The stir fried Green Beans were also good...but I was extremely disappointed in the Sushi Bar. I loved the Sushi from this restaurant, but the Sushi I had daring this visit had absolutely no flavor. We were happy to visit this place from our past, but probably won't make a return trip in the near future.
