I tried one of the bowls here. I enjoyed the flavors and textures. The coffee was good as well. I’ll return to try something different. If you want something healthy, you can get that here.

My only regret is not coming here sooner! Thai noodles are great (omg the mushrooms!!), as is the green smoothie. Husband is a fan of their toast and eggs. Looking forward to coming back to try more!

I ordered a Chai Latte with oat milk it was a little more bitter than expected but tasted good. I’m not sure if something like turmeric was added to this but whatever they put in it stained my Invisalign retainer yellow. Maybe skip that one.

I absolutely love this place. I have been a customer since they opened and I just keep coming back. The menu is easily my most favorite menu of any healthy eating establishment I've encountered. It's always fresh and the ingredients are just in a league of their own; offering highly sought after reishi, blue green algea, and more ... even better is that these high value ingredients are offered at a perfectly reasonable price here. Not only is the food perfect, but so is the service. Stephen always goes out of his way to make customers feel welcome and is exactly the type of person you'd want as your friendly neighborhood chef. Not to mention - the place is clean & spotless. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could!

We love everything about Grateful Kitchen. The food, the values, the friendly service, the convenient location, etc! Most recently, we ordered Thanksgiving from their pre-order menu and it exceeded all expectations. We ordered the meal for 4 and it could have easily fed 8 people. Every single dish was delicious :) Thank you for consistently being awesome, Grateful Kitchen!

I'm not sure how you manage to overscramble an egg but they have managed to do it. I got the veggie egg sandwich and my friend got the egg and cheese sandwich and the eggs and toast and all of the eggs were wet and crumbly. There was zero flavor and the mushrooms on the veggie sandwich overpowered the whole thing. I'm not sure how anyone is giving this place 4+ stars. Maybe it's the drinks -- my smoothie wasn't amazing but it was decent. I added ginger and I am pulling ginger strings out of my teeth but I can't complain since I added it. Or maybe its the customer service (we did curbside pick up). It seems to me with such limited menu they would do the few things right. I've been to a LOT of breakfast joints from mom and Latinx to food trucks to fine dining and this did not make the cut.

Excellent food. Just tried their Egg sandwich. It was delicious AF.

Stephen is an artist, bringing delicious food to the scene. The Grateful Kitchen is my go-to spot for the taste of home with classics that are nutritionally revamped for clean, satisfying eating. Would recommend the strawberry cream smoothie and any of the egg plates. Stephen - to you and your staff, thanks!

Such a friendly neighborhood gem. Homely vibe, Simple menu. Always friendly and welcoming! Thanks~

We snuck into the DMV to surprise a good friend for his 40th birthday. We assumed the hotel had a complimentary breakfast - it did not. So we decided to venture out to Old Alexandria and lo and behold!: We found Grateful Kitchen!Truly breakfast heaven. We got the salmon breakfast sandwich and carrot juice with ginger. Man it was so good. We are definitely returning here when we come back to the DMV.
