Stopped here on a whim when I was in town and decided to grab a seat at the bar. Our bartender's name was James and he was the best! Very personable and attentive. I usually don't leave reviews online but thought everyone should know how great the experience was!
I came here to stop for a quick dinner. My server was Dani, she was so attentive and an absolute sweetheart. I ordered the bacon and cheddar burger with fries and was happy to find out that they have a burger special on mondays. My burger was perfectly cooked, my fries were hot, the service was amazing, and the bill was low. I will definitely be back!
Great for hosting large kids groups
Ashley the manager deserves a RAISE TODAY. She was awesome. We were seated & were sitting for about 5-7 minutes no one approached us she came over and took over. She staff was just nowhere to be found my husband and I watched her go from indoor to outdoors helping guest. She was great & well worth our first visit & we will be back just because of her. Great job Ashley. Everywhere we went We never gave a $20 tip but she damn sure was worth it.
Let me start by saying Glory Days has potential. A friend spoke highly of them so I tried it out. We were quickly seated, took the waitress 20 mim to come take our order, then another 20 min for our drinks to come. We placed drink orders and appetizer orders at the same time. Our appetizers took another 20 min followed by a 30 min wait for food. The waitress never came back to check on us we had to get our own silverware from the bar due to no hostess at the stand.
Management needs to engage. Food was great but it shouldn't take1 hour and 10 minutes for a burger and 12 wings. No refills on drinks since the waiter disappeared. Didn't get the order correct as one item didn't come out. Someone needs to ensure customers are being taken care of properly. It wasn't just us, the poor ladies with an infant and toddler next to us were there longer and just as frustrated. I mentioned something to the hostess on the way out and just know the message won't get passed along.
Had the Thick Tight wings honey BBQ. Off the chain?? the grilled salmon salad with strawberries! To die for ? Kiara my waitress was on point with everything. Can't wait to see you guys again.
- food was pretty good, fresh and had good flavor.- staff were friendly.- service was quick.- prices normal for the area.- plenty of parking.- overall not a bad first time, I'd recommend this location.
I have been to this place a few times over the last couple years, and don't really have any major complaints. More recently it has felt like they're either understaffed or mismanaged. The staff seemed a little lost/confused about who was taking what table, forgetting orders, not knowing info about items on the menu or even something like their hours of operation. These sort of things are not a big deal if you just want to grab a beer at the bar, but it just feels like the quality of service has diminished lately. I'll still likely be back, I just temper my expectations a bit.
My wife and I have visited this Duke street location many times in the past year since moving to Virginia. Last Thursday (12/30/21) we visited with three out of town guests for dinner. We were so embarrassed we did. Although the waitress was pleasant enough she clearly did not know the menu , not even the soup of the day and never did check to see what it was. The food was horribly cooked and in my case freezer burt . Three of the five of us finished what they could of there meals before the other two were even served. To make my visit more unpleasant they no longer stock the gluten free beer I enjoyed so much. I don’t know what happened to the staff they had in the past but this was terrible. We won’t be going back
