Around 1pm on mother's day I had called to make a takeout order to be picked up at 6:30pm. I figured that due to the special day, dinnertime would be packed so I should call ahead of time so they would have plenty of time to prepare. At 6:30 I showed up for pick up, but my order wasn't ready. By then, it was already jam packed and incredibly busy. The staff was apologetic, but assured me it would be out soon. I ended up receiving my order around 7:15. I'm guessing that they started to make my order when I arrived and because of how busy things were, it took 45min to get out of the kitchen.I understand that Mother's day is a busy day, but I was hoping I would have been able to make things easier for all of us by ordering 5 hours in advance.My mom did enjoy the food, so there is that. Also I had requested that the noodles be separate from the sauce since I needed to drive home. The person I had spoke with over the phone was kind enough to check with a manager to make sure they could do that for me.
The food is old-fashioned... And that's a great thing! This is classic Italian-American fare that is truly comforting to the soul. We love this restaurant; it is always a welcoming landing spot for our family.
My husband and I had dinner 3/4/2022, made reservations for 6pm. Once sat, it took a while for our table to be greeted; we were not told of the days special(s). I noticed the table(s) sat after us were greeted more promptly told the day(s) special given bread/water upon being sat. Our waitress was very inattentive and slow seemed to pay attention to her other tables versus ours. We continuously had to ask for everything, i.e., refills, bread, and our check twice. (Not a good feeling) Especially when dinner for two was close to $100.The food, however, was good; we enjoyed Cardon Bleu, mozzarella fritta, clams casino.I am giving 4 stars because of food quality. 1-star customer service.Hopefully, during our next visit, we have a more attentive waitress/waiter who treats all customers the same.Restaurant is recommended ?
Rudi was our waiter and nothing about this place could have been better. My family of five enjoyed many items from their vast menu. All of our food was prepared perfectly and with a wonderful presentation. I enjoyed the sangria and a carrot cake dessert as well. The decor was a step back in time but in a good way! Love this place❤️
The menu has lots of delicious and reasonably priced dishes to choose from. Along with old favorites, there are new dishes to for me to try, like Seafood Primavera. As always, the staff is so friendly and helpful.

Horrible! I ordered a pasta w extra shrimp through Uber eats. I RECEIVED ONE SINGLE SHRIMP FOR MY ENTIRE PASTA. The menu is so inaccurate and the prices are different. I also ordered a half a loaf of bread and received … dinner rolls? I ordered an Alfredo pasta … with no sauce?? The only good thing was the soup but guess what ? … it was cold. I know I ordered late after work but if you are too tired to send orders out at 8pm then close the restaurant by 7:45. Dissappointed.
Really good food! Chicken fettucine is good. Clams casino is incredible!! Next time I'm getting 3 orders! LOL!
It's a quaint little restaurant tucked away in Alexandria. The menu has a good variety and the food tastes excellent. Have plenty of room in your stomach because the portion sizes are a good size. Menu prices aren't too bad. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for an excellent Italian cuisine.
