This place is amazing for a change of scenery in the remote work environment. Those cookies are the best! The food is aesthetically pleasing to the eye but nothing amazing to the tastebuds.Great place to meet friends for a small bite and coffee. The only thing I would say is it does get pricey. Once i paid $30 for a coffee and salad.
This new place in DC offers excellent coffee specialties and amazing cookies and cakes. The America cookie with sugar and chocolate creme was just too good and the cappuccino just amazing. Service could be better, but when they offer Peruvian chicken soup…you can’t be too upset…
A solid choice for a place to meet up with friends or to find a place to sit and work. You can tell the baristas know the details of and care about coffee. I didn’t try any of their sweets since they didn’t have any gluten free sweets, but their food menu is nicely marked for allergens of all kinds. A comfortable place just across the street from the metro/bus depot, though if you drive you’ll have to get creative and look a few blocks out.
Excellent coffee, fantastic pastries / cookies. Also, they have one of the coolest set-ups for their espresso machines, with the group heads extending from the counter in sculptural chrome curved pieces (that look a little like giraffe necks).
First time visiting For Five, double espresso made perfectly, staff was informative and gave me excellent customer service.Went back next day with a friend and had breakfast. Oatmeal and Croque Madame, cappuccino and again the staff was excellent and chef charming. The locals know about this business, but visitors must go at least once. Their bakery selection is also sinful.
Had 45 min to kill so I decided to hang out here just because it was nearby. Love this shop! I got an iced chai and a fingertip cookie (because their cookie selection seemed so impressive). Chai was amazing, one of the best I’ve ever had. Cookie was good too just VERY rich and large, so I’ll be working on it for a few hours I think. Very nice vibe and music. Bathroom is beautiful, smells good. and clean. Staff seemed nice and I got my order quickly. Would definitely love to come back here or another location.
Great food w super large portions! The spinach fritatta was great today, yesterday I had the avocado toast which was yummy!
Come for the coffee, not for the food. The last time we came our orders were mixed up, and the side of bacon were not fully cooked! For the prices the food just really fell flat. The staff was nice but really had no idea what they were doing.
We live just a short walk away, and finally got to walk over to give this a try… well… we’ve found our new weekend coffee spot!The girls working this morning were so friendly, and my oatmilk lavender latte was incredible!
A really great place to get coffee, they also have a variety of other drinks, pastries. Very nice ambiance and great service. Ron was working there when I went and he was one of the nicest person I’ve ever met! Check it out!
