Great food , nice atmosphere, good music, quick service ??
I've been here three times and every time the brisket is the most lack luster example of brisket I've ever seen. I don't know how you can claim to be "Famous" in terms of BBQ and serve dry, over cooked, thin slices of brisket. I'm not one to complain or send food back, but I have with this brisket every time, it's the equivalent of a well done steak :/ What's more is that I'm pretty sure you're only getting served the "flat", so if you're looking for some good fatty pieces of the "point", look elsewhere. Just disappointing.I enjoy the atmosphere and the service has always been good, and absolutely love the cornbread muffins. Great selection of beers too, but the brisket fail is a full stop for me. I'll have to search elsewhere to get some good brisket, this was the last time for me at Dave's. Hopefully they can change their business model and get more on par with say a "Rudy's BBQ" chain. Rudy's is proof that you CAN consistently make good BBQ at a decent price using a franchise business model. God I miss Texas lol.
Great Service very clean Amazing Food
Famous Dave’s food was very mediocre the only thing that was good that I tried out was the ribs, and the fried onions. Everything was wet dog like the mac and cheese, it taste like you get it from the frozen section in the convinces store. And the sweet corn wasn’t all that but the only thing that was up to par was the their muffin and brisket but doesn’t hit the same as the ribs and fried onions. This was very sad as I thought I expected high rated food but it wasn’t just pure disappointment. But the only reason I gave them a two star because of the service was nice but besides that it wasn’t all that great.
We ordered feast for two-sday, service was quick and food was delicious. Chicken, ribs well cooked.
Service was quick, and food was great. Everything was tender, delicious, and tasty. The chicken was well seasoned and lathered in sauce. The chicken wasn’t dry. Our service was very attentive.Wish I could say more, but I highly recommend this place. I know I’ll definitely be back for more!
Food was absolutely to die for! I came with my buddies for an early birthday celebration last night 2/5 and I had the salmon my waitress recommendation and it was perfectly cooked and the sweet sauce on top added a extra layer of flavor. I was worried as she told me the sauce was a little sweet but it was perfect. My waitress Amari, I told her I would come back just for her! She was so bubbly and kind and was very patient with us as it was my first time at famous Dave’s I’ve read some reviews and was skeptical but I’m glad I gave it a shot! Definitely will be back!
Even with my phone on the counter, I dived in mouth first into the rib tips, bbq beans and salad before I captured a picture of the serving. Only after a face and fingers of sauce did I recall taking a picture. Too late, because the damage had been done to the presentation. The smell and look was so intoxicating I forgot again. Trust me, it was a sight to see and it tasted even better. Next time.
Good solid bbq - Mac & Cheese don’t bother! The ribs are good. Chicken tenders are ok. Rib tips good but fatty. Pork chunks good. Onion strings - great. Coleslaw a bit mayonnaisy for me but my husband loved it.
We get the party platters from here ALL THE TIME, for my office. Their highlights are the brisket, ribs, and corn muffins. The only thing I don't like is the Mac and cheese. Terrible, terrible Mac and cheese. But I just stay away from it and enjoy what I do like.
