We came here because we were looking for a quick dinner and wanted to support a minority-own def business. I had the Tipico 3 (pupusa, steak, rice, beans, and salad) plus as Chile Rellno.Let me begin with saying that I'm always grateful for complimentary chips and salsa. The chips at El Pollo Ranchero taste store bought and are not special (e.g. thin, warm, dusted with chili lime), but the salsa tasted fine. The Chile Relleno was okay (see photo). I liked how cheesy the dish is, but would have liked more sauce. As for the Tipico entree, the pupusa was my favorite part of the meal. I got the revuelta (pork and cheese) and it was meaty, cheesy, and piping hot. I did have to ask for the curtido and salsa, which was weird. The salsa also didn't taste like any Salvadoran salsa roja I've had before, so that was also a bit of a surprise for me. The steak was a nice petite size and cooked to medium well, which was more over cooked than I would have liked. I'm glad it came with a simple salad and quarter of an avocado. The rice and beans tasted very Salvadoran and the slice of fresh queso was a nice touch.I will the say, for what this place lacks in some of its flavors, it made up with service. The two servers who took care of us were attentive and very warm.
Food is very tasty. Taco bowls need rice added to make it filling.
Great food and service is very friendly!!! Food is Central American flavors but super delicious. A must try is their Popusas, pollo asaderos
The chicken was nearly cold but it just was also very dry. I couldn't eat it all. The rice and beans were hot, however the rice looked to be white rice with carrots and peas. Sorry but just not what I expected.
The food was okay and warm at best. Service/communication from the server is in need if improvement. May have caught them on a subpar day but I won't be returning or recommend.
Good food here and the price is right. There's a reason it's always so busy every day. The pupusas and burritos hit the spot!
I love the food here! I have been a loyal costumer with this restaurant for 2 years now. The staff there have really disappointed me. Instead of making my food in a timely fashion manner the lady in the kitchen with other staff members decided to come walk behind the bar just to talk about me in Spanish while the whole staff looked at me and my boyfriend. I’m bringing them business and yet they wanna talk about things that’s none of their business while the owner or that’s who I think it was stood there at the front cashier just listening. I would of never had a problem with this restaurants if they knew how to mind their own business and focus more on cooking my food. I really love this place but I don’t think I can even dine in there anymore. Very unprofessional!
delish pupusas and Peruvian chicken
We placed a large order for our daughters graduation party. We frequent here so we know that we always enjoy the food, The staff was extremely helpful in placing the order even helping us get the food to the car, really above and beyond. And everyone at the party was more than impressed with the food and wanted to know where we got it. So I would definitely recommend if you’re just going to eat for the day or if you need a large party done
What a joke! Paid $14 for a steak quesadilla that is EMPTY. I could have gotten more qith the dollar menu from Taco Bell.
