I really liked this place. What I especially enjoyed was the authentic "old" feel, especially of the front bar. Go towards the back and place opens up to a much larger bar and plenty of tables. They also had a (very talented) musician on hand while I was there. I assume that's a normal weekend thing. There's also an upstairs, but I didn't venture up there. I'm told it was another bar and more tables. Staff were super friendly, and funny to boot. Would def recommend you stop in here if you have a chance.
Definitely captures the dark Irish pub feel. Food was good, nachos were made with their homemade potato chips which was unexpected but surprisingly delicious. We also enjoyed the Irish egg rolls, whiskey sizzler with chicken (comes out like fajitas on that cast iron sizzle skillet but made with a tasty whiskey sauce), Shepards pie and the Rueben sandwich. I would recommend both the Shepards pie and whiskey sizzler ?. Prices are pretty average for the area and we enjoyed the atmosphere, the back area has a bigger bar, there was live music and tv’s for taking in sporting events. There is a small area for outdoor dining as well.

Nice atmosphere and a waitress from Ireland.
LOVE the vibe in here. Egg rolls were solid. Irish standards in the pipes. Magnets on tap for me today. Repeatable for sure!
Outstanding restaurant! The staff is very friendly and they always have a smile to greet you. The food is fresh and continues to exceed my expectations ever visit. I can’t say enough great things about this great place. Thank you for making every visit better than the last!
Fantastic spot to get authentic Irish fare and a pint. If you're spending a day in Old Town, O'Connell's is a perfect place to end the night!
Great food, great service!
This is the most iconic looking and feeling pub I've seen in a while. They serve a fantastic pint of Guinness, Smithwicks, and 12 other draft beers. Their classic pub fare does not disappoint either - although, a little pricey. They have fantastic live music Sunday nights as well, if you're in the mood for a little Irish song.
I checked menus all along King Street before I decided that the Corned Beef and Cabbage was exactly what I wanted for lunch. The meat was lean and tender and everything was covered with a delicious creamy sauce. Lyle provided great service with a smile.
