I love this place. Food is amazing! I have had pho in many places and this is the best pho I have eaten in the dmv area. It’s a small restaurant and sometimes you have to wait, but it’s absolutely worthy! Now they have tables outside, which is great! You can enjoy a warm bowl of pho in amazing spring weather.Although the place is always busy, service is great and the staff is always smiling
Phenomenal Pho! A bit pricey but what is t in Alexandria, VA? Very high quality ingredients and excellent, excellent service! This place does a MASSIVE take-out service. While I was here (30-45 minutes) I bet 35-45 orders came and went. Super busy. The weather was amazing and the patio was open also. I would definitely come back. Well worth the $$???
I had a descent lunch here with my best friend. Their beef ? pho ? isn’t as good as the pho in Virginia Beach, VA(Pho 79)Hagerstown,MD (Pho Viet) Groton, CT (Phantasia)or Frederick,MD(The Lucky Corner) because we specifically asked for skirt flank (which is w/o gristle) and eye of round(has gristle). This pho could have been better. When I pay with my bank card you want to get paid so therefore you need to serve the correct meat when I order pho. I have several Pho ? restaurants up and down the East coast and one on the West Coast and none of them have disappointed me like this did. The Jasmine tea, steamed rice, and Boba tea was the only thing that was good from this restaurant.
This is easily my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in DC area! Im often visit from NYC and this place keeps calling me back! Delicious foods, drinks, great staff, nice and peaceful location. Sooo tasty!! Vegetarian and vegan friendly. Try out the vegetarian pho! Yum!!!
I came here with a coworker on a weekday for lunch, and it was pretty empty when we first got there around 11:30AM. It was much more populated by the time we left though. Anyway, I got their vermicelli with grilled pork, and it was really tasty! The pork was marinated and soft, very flavorful, and I really enjoyed the spring roll as well which came out crispy and hot. The fish sauce came served in what looked like a tea cup which I thought was interesting, and the noodles were really chewy and bouncy. It was a good balance of meat, vegetables, and noodles too - a good amount of everything. It was around $16 post-tax, a tad expensive but hey, I guess it's in Old Town!
The sandwiches and spring rolls were just ok comparing other viet sandwiches shop Ive been too. The bun was cold and very hard to chew. The bun should have been warm and a bit crunchy. The lean and spicy meat made up for the terrible bun. The dipping sauce for the spring roll wasn’t the best either, and need some improvement.

Great food with solid vegan options. Still using styrofoam to go boxes though. Would be 5 stars otherwise
The pho here is like magic ✨ it’s so flavorful and delicious!! The grilled pork banh mi is also great. It’s a little spot off of the main streets of Old Town Alexandria. The location is small so seating might be a challenge on a busy day. But it’s well worth the wait.
This place was my favorite Vietnamese place to go to until yesterday, 10/21/21. The food was delicious, and the staff were polite and attentive. My family and I ate here almost every time we would go to Old Town, however yesterday my first and only interaction with the owner made it my last time I will EVER go to this restaurant. I ordered four sandwiches and unfortunately, one of the sandwiches had an unknown cloth material in it. I had to wait until the restaurant opened back up for their dinner hours in order to bring it to their attention. I called over the phone to speak with the manager to resolve the issue but was not able to and was told to bring my sandwich back for proof, even though I explained that I did not live in the area, and it was difficult for me to get back. The employee told me this was the only way to resolve my issue. As a result, my family sat in 30 minutes plus of rush hour traffic to bring this sandwich back. Once there, the employee told me he had to call the owner in order to issue a refund. The interaction went down from there. The owner had the employee repeat what he was saying on the phone to me and proceeded to insult my character stating I set them up. I NEVER had a restaurant be so insistent of me putting something in my food. I explained over and over again that it was already in the food and showed the picture I took as soon as I saw the material. Still, the owner proceeded to insult me stating I set them up and did not want to issue me a refund or offer to remake my sandwich. After approximately ten frustrating minutes of back and forth, I left out telling everyone in line and sitting in the patio to check their food to make sure there was nothing in it. My husband stayed behind with our baby to continue to wait for the refund. He came back to the car and stated the restaurant finally processed it by giving us cash. I will never be back, and I hope for three things: 1) if someone else goes through this, the restaurant will listen and not be disrespectful 2) offer to fix the issue and 3) apologize for their mistake. I will say thank you to Caphe for showing their true colors.
