Sad how quickly their quality went down. I went here a few weeks after they opened, got the Cauliflower sandwich, and fries, and it was excellent. Ordered again tonight w/my whole family and unfortunately much of the food was inedible. The buns were literally burned, not toasted, they looked and tasted burned. The onion straws were burned. The bacon on both of my sons' burgers however was undercooked, still raw in places, and only partially cooked in others. We had to chuck it all in the rubbish bin.Update: The owner replied to my review very quickly and offered a full refund. Changed from 1 star to 3 stars. You have to appreciate good customer service. Hopefully the kitchen quality improves again.
So I got the roadhouse burger, homemade potato salad, homemade cinnamon bun, and a lineade tea. I have to say the potato salad was fantastic and the burger flowed suit. I was full after that. Saved the cinnamon bun for a snack later on that night. About 30 sec in the microwave and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this spot and hit it up again for their chicken sandwich
Worth the trip. We went to Mount Vernon first then just 12 min later found this gem. The burger we had was the Big Classic Deluxe. It was easily the best burger I have had in a while, and I come from NC where we have Cookout on tap! The Fries were not great only bc I don't like Paprika, but the chocolate mouse was jaw droppingly good. If your in the area and near Mt. Vernon, please do yourself a favor and go to Bun Papa!
Love Bun Papa and so glad to have it close by. Love being able to get nice to go options from a non-chain nearby. It would be great to add some salads to the menu! My experiences there haven’t always been perfect, but they’ve always made them right in the end hence the five stars. Existed to try the BeeLiner soon!
This place is always on our list of places to go when we want good food! The staff are patient & trustworthy (thank you David for always being so helpful!).Their specialties are based around bakery items (parties, cakes, cookies, etc) but they make slammin burgers and hot dog platters as well!Give them a try, and you won't be disapointed!
Ordered the Angry Chicken Sandwich and Red Whoop D Pie.The chicken sandwich was good but nowhere near the "best" for me. The seasoning was nice and the bun great (not soggy even after car ride) but it was mild in terms of heat and the seasoning/sauce combo didn't work for me. The chicken was good on it's own and probably works better in the other sandwiches.The Red Whoop D Pie was okay. The red Velvet pies were on the sweet side but I still liked them. Overall, it was a bit too sweet for me so I ended up scooping out the filling.
I have been to Bun Papa three times now and had excellent experiences the last two times but unfortunately a less than stellar experience this last time. The food is always delicious and my order had always been correct up until my most recent order. This time I had ordered the Roadhouse burger but received a burger that was missing half of the ingredients. I sadly didn’t get any crispy onions or any bacon on the burger and two of the sauces I had added (and paid for) didn’t appear on the burger once I picked up the order. Perhaps it was just an off day, but when you only get half the burger you were expecting, it’s kind of disheartening. Especially knowing how good this place is on a good day.
There’s no Bun Papa signage which is weird even they know that it’s the main issue of customer locating the place. Waffle fries is very salty. Standard burgers.

Food: Roadhouse Burger and it was absolutely F I R E. The patty was charboiled to perfection and the brioche bun was buttery and crispy. The service was quick and friendly.Service: Quick and Friendly. The manager Marcos came outside to check on us, and that was a personal touch.Cons: The fries were a little soggy. But overall tasty.
