Being pregnant, I can't partake in most of the offerings from Brut, but we had friends in town and it was a nice afternoon to sit outside and catch up.However, when I asked if they had diet coke, I was snippily told by the waiter that they had no soda, no juice, nothing non-alcoholic other than water, AND that outside food and drink was not allowed at their tables.I shouldn't need a socially-accepted reason to not drink. Maybe I am the DD for the group of 5. Maybe I am on meds that I cannot mix with alcohol. Maybe I just don't want to drink right now, but I still want to catch up with friends and enjoy a cold beverage on a warm day. (My water was, at best, room temperature.) In the future, we willl be avoiding Brut. The service was less than stellar and we did not feel welcome as a group unless we all wanted to get black-out drunk.
Owner isn’t very attentive to new patrons. I have gone on multiple occasions asking for recommendations and he could not care less to help. Pricey wines. Hours are limited I suppose money grows on trees for owner
The place has gone downhill big time ever since covid. The staff is very unwelcoming, and the food and wine is just average, way overpriced for what you get. Owner refused to give me a new glass of wine that had a 1/2" of sediment, inexcusable for a place that calls itself a "wine bar".
Great wine! Eclectic bites. Expensive!.. but very good. Four glasses of wine and an appetizer for $113. Plus gratuity..
We have lived in old town for 5 years and have tried nearly all the local spots and this is hands down our favorite place and our most visited spot. The wine, service and food options are consistently incredible. Whenever we have out of town visitors we are sure to take them here because it’s a crowd pleaser! You can’t go wrong!

Love it! Great selection of bubbly bottles and by the glass. Friendly staff and yummy charcuterie.
Truly a hidden gem is what they call it! Laid back atmosphere, and great selection of wines. Had a foie gras and selection of cheese. Enjoyed immensely, looking forward to be back.
Hidden gem! Small wine bar with a few outside tables. The wines, cheese plate and foie gras were all delicious - the owner was so attentive despite it being a busy night and offered excellent recommendations on food and drinks.
Brut is perfect. It has a wonderful variety of champagnes, wines, and beers and these are reasons enough to return again and again. But once you add the amazing menu of food and cheese, you don’t want to leave. We’ve tried everything on the menu and never regretted a single order. Brut is good in all types of weather, for enjoying a glass of wine, and for bringing anyone when asked “what’s your favorite place in Old Town.”
