Stumbled upon this place randomly & I am so glad I did. The ravioli was so fresh & delicious. Their garlic bread was just perfect as well.

ALDO is a fabulous family owned business. Emanuele , the owner, is so very friendly and welcoming. The food and service are great. Many of his dishes are homemade , including his marinara sauce. His eggplant parmigiana is the best I have ever eaten; it just melted in my mouth. The garlic bread is delicious, and his cakes ( from an Italian bakery) are amazing ; both the limoncello and the chocolate mousse cakes are our favorites. The pizza is good, even tasty cold the next morning. I highly recommend ALDO for its food, service , and family friendly atmosphere.

We were on a family vacation and there were 7 of us. It was next door to Springhill suites, so we walked over. You could smell the garlic in the air, and the food didn't disappoint. We were seated and brought a plate of garlic bread with fresh, chopped garlic, and it tasted as good as it smelled. We each had a dinner, and everyone loved what they had. My nephew's wife's brother in law is from NY with an Italian background. She ordered the chicken picatta, and after she took her first bite, she said "Wow. If I closed my eyes, I couldn't tell the difference between this and Joe's" I'm from Chicago, and this stacked up to any restaurant in our Little Italy. We came back for a second meal before we left for home.

Recommended by staff at a near hotel and am I so very glad they did. This place is amazing. The owner greats you at the door like family. It's decorated with family photos and feels like you are in someone's home. The food knocked my socks off. Better than the places in old Town that are far more expensive. It was very reasonably priced and the chicken pesto pasta was the best pesto sauce I have ever had. Margarita pizza was fantastic also. Will definitely be back when I travel to the area.

Food was excellent. Caprice salad delicious. However, leaves of basil would have made it better verses couple thin sliced strings of basil, barely visible and zero basil flavor. Eggplant amazing.Food brought out too soon while eating salads so food cold by time we ate.However. Flavor excellent.

When I saw wow, I mean WOW! This place has really really good food, I ordered one of the specials with scallops and it was perfect. The prices are fair and the garlic bread is the best I’ve ever had! (And not to toot my own horn, but I’ve eaten a lot of garlic bread.) I would recommend this place to anyone, I’ll probably be back for lunch tomorrow.

We were visiting DC for a few days and saw Aldos on this site. BEST DECISIONS EVER!!! Food was fantastic, well priced , cute ambiance, and the staff and owner were super welcoming and friendly. You can tell it’s where the locals eat for good reason!! Highly recommend!

This restaurant has the best authentic Italian cuisine. We have been coming here since Aldo’s opened years ago. Always great food and great staff. The owner is very exuberant and speaks Italian. Some of the recipes are from the Old Country and his mom’s. Now that it’s warmer you can eat outside also.

I can't believe all of the high scores. The fried Mozzarella appetizer and steak and cheese sandwich were okay but the chicken parmigiana sandwich was tough and tasteless. Perhaps the kudos came from the pizza which we didn't try but at this point we probably won't take our chances with a return visit.

Tried Aldo after the recommendations from several friends. What a great Italian restaurant. Owner/chef is a first-generation Italian. And, THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC. My wife had the veal marsala, with vegetables that were perfectly done. I had the 'fruit de mare', seafood (shrimp, mussels, and salmon) with homemade pasta. The restaurant is located in a morass of office buildings. Don't let that put you off. Make a visit to this hidden gem.
