One of my favorite restaurants in Burlington. Best calamari!

Everything about Sotto Enoteca was perfect last night. As always. Perhaps the best restaurant in Burlington...

Tried to make a reservation at the sister restaurant, Trattoria Delia, but instead was given a reservation here. That was actually fortunate, I think, as this "restaurant" enables you to order from both menus and is not so incredibly dark. They try to sell this as a wine bar, but it's really just a tiny, old room with a handful of tables and a bar. My daughter had a bucatini and meatballs that was really, really good. Simple, but very flavorful. My wife and I started off with a Fennel Salad that was super delicious. Again, nothing overly inventive; just really good, fresh food. I had a Bucatini with guanciale and my wife a Tagliatelle with mushrooms. All of the pasta was fresh, the sauces were super flavorful, and the service was fantastic. I'd return here in an absolute heartbeat if I was in Burlington. I was really, really impressed.

Before we head to Italy for 2 weeks we wanted to dive into tasting wines and this close ambiance, friendly feel was perfect. Space is limited. But the happy times are not

Great specials! Always ask

must try pastas

Went here for dinner after arriving in Burlington. Great little Italian Restaurant. They had a half price special on 3 of their pasta dishes. They make their own pasta, btw. Our server was excellent and so personable. We shared an app of carpaccio, which was delicious. We each had the special of tagliatelle with veal/beef/pork ragu, which was fabulous. Husband had the tiramisu - wow, I've never seen such a huge tiramisu. Husband really enjoyed it. I recommend!

I have to say that this was one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten in. The restarsunt is small and the atmosphere is electric in Sotto Enoteca. The wine list is excellent, from a Nebbiolo, Barbera, Rosso to Super Tuscan you have so many great choices. The Italian bread is baked on premises and is delicious. I had the tagliatelle and my wife had the short ribs and they were superb! If you have not eaten here you are missing a gem!

All I can say is we ate here the evening prior to dropping our daughter off for her first year of college. We showed up somber, looking for a food pick me up. Sotto Enoteca "hit it out of the park!" From the marinated artichokes to the homemade pasta, it was all fantastic! Our standards were a bit high, as we just returned from a family trip to Italy. This little gem DID NOT disappoint. We'll be back!
