Great clam chowder and a great view of the lake. Lobster Roll was horrible. Hardly any lobster bun was over toasted and it cost $40.00. Do not order it

Pretty good food, clam chowder was very good. Got my order wrong, so waited a little extra...not a big deal, but would have been nice to have it correct.Prices are a little high, but all resturants are that way now.Nice seating and very clean... just not my favorite

One of the only places to get full lobster, oysters, clam chowder, lobster bisque; seaside foods, not from grocery or picked up from market, in Burlington. Seafood is fresh and good. Specials and drinks can be hit or miss. The patio at sunset with house white and lobster is great. Try it.

My first night in Burlington when I came to Shanty On The Shore was a solo trip and I haven’t been there in over 32 years! I had clam chowder and it was awesome! I also had awesome service from a very attentive waitress. My second visit there during my long weekend was with a close friend that I went to high school with at a private boarding school from 1988 to 1990 and we both had a pound and a half lobster and it was excellent and my friend really enjoyed her lobster as well. This is a great place to have awesome seafood and good place to bring your family or if you’re in Burlington on a business trip or if you’re on a date. I hope to visit in Burlington soon and plan on coming back for dinner.

Unimpressive and not worth the cost. Although it overlooks Lake Champlain, the whole place has a cheap Long John Silvers vibe. Plastic cups and paper napkins are the norm. Considering the location and prices you would expect first class service in a more refined setting. The $16 Shoreside Mary will get you an 8 ounce drink over filled with ice. During my visit I requested the surf and turn option but was told it was unavailable with the bacon. Halfway through my meal my server was swapped with a different one but then changed back again. The shrimp scampi was quite awful and came with no sides despite what the menu says. Lemon overwhelmed all the other flavors, it seemed to have sweetener of some kind and the noodles were over cooked. Also, for a state that take pride in its dairy, there wasn't even a hint of butter in this recipe. Overall, I would avoid this place in favor of better choices. They really have no clue what they are doing.

My name is Johnny Battista, I,m from Montreal and I go to Burlington at least a dozen times a year and every time I,m there I must go to Shanty's because the this place is amazing, always great food and excellent service, so if you are visiting Burlington you must go to Shanty,s

Great place! Friendly and helpful staff. The kitchen handled some special requests really well. Everything was amazing, but we couldn't get enough of the bloody Marys.

Beautiful view of the lake. Nice service. The scallops were delicious, but the prices were pretty steep for what was served.

Great shoreline locations...good food. One place that will make you remember Burlington Vermont! Went for a birthday originally and went back for lunch. The outdoor seating gives EXCELLENT views of Lake Champlain, especially at sunset!

Our group of 27 arrived in Burlington around 12:35 in the afternoon. About 6 of us showed up at the Shanty in 2 groups. My group consisting myself and my wife. We ordered 2 glasses of Pinot Grigio, 2 bowls of Clam Chowder. My wife ordered the Fish & Chips, and I ordered the Linguini Shrimp in a tomato sauce. The wine arrived with the 2 entrees. Less than 2 minutes later our main dishes arrived sitting at our side on the table getting cooled as we were eating our clam chowder bowls. We get another visit from the waitress, who is training another girl, to ask if all is okay. My wife and I looked at each other. The bowls of chowder were great. My wife's Fish & Chips, great. My Linguini plate was bland, bland. The shrimp were over cooked and tasted a bit pasty. And the tomato sauce was like in a clear unseasoned liquid...no taste at all. The waitress comes to see us again, asking us if we want anything else. I replied we are fine, nothing else. And in her other hand is the bill she gives us...but tells us "No rush". Well we felt rushed all through the meal by her, and the meal wasn't worth the price. Only the soup maybe and of course the wine was great. But we definitely were feeling rushed. Not happy about this visit.
