More pepperoni on this pizza than I have ever seen before. I the number of slices was 64 and that was on a small pizza. Tasted excellent.
Loved the "NY style" and the rest of the family loved the thicker crust in a square. First time we tried it (after our former favorite pizzeria shut its South Burlington doors this month)...the garlic bites were DIVINE!
Yes that is the pizza flipper they put on the ground they walk on. Did your pizza have a different flavor or smell? Do the math.
Quality Food, Excellent Service. Sparkling Clean and Welcoming all around. Highly recommend! Fresh ingredients, and homemade sauces and dressings. Excellent in house or on the go. Oven fired pizzas and the best Brussel Sprout Caesar Salad ever, Brussel sprouts served warm on the salad, dressings tops!
Don’t do takeout. Was told over the phone 15-20 mins, we have been waiting over an hour and still no lead time on when our order will be ready (we are sitting at Queen City brewery waiting) Employee was kind of rude about it. Finishing our beers and leaving.Edit: did end up getting the pizza after canceling my order and speaking to possibly the manager. They had my name and must have been my phon number wrong. Pizza was cold, and burned, and just not great in general. We won’t be returning.
A group of us went to Pizza44 for an impromptu Friday night dinner and it was incredible!! The staff was friendly and attentive. We had ordered Buffalo wings and they accidentally tossed them in BBQ, rather than just firing a new batch they came over and admitted their mistake and offered us the wings while we waited for the Buffalo ones to be done- so impressive!! (also DELICIOUS!!) The pizza was to die for- crispy, not too thin but not too doughy, with just the right amount of delicious sauce made for the perfect pie. The brussel sprout and BBQ chicken are where it’s at! We also had the pleasure of trying their mozzarella balls which have become my new favorite food in general! Go to this place, eat a lot, and tip well-you won’t be sorry!!
Great place! Good pizza and sides, great beer.
The service was good. They were patient as I asked a couple of questions and the food came out quickly. One thing I noticed right away was an odd smell that was slightly off-putting, but I was hungry and maybe it was something I just couldn't place. The crust is thin and in a couple of places black from the fire, but not nearly as bland as a lot of the flatbread places, and it had a fine texture. They put a good amount of pepperoni and cheese on it, which not every place does. The cheese itself wasn't the best mozzarella, but it's a step up from big chain cheese (is Big Chain Cheese the name of my next band? Maybe.).The broccoli was not good. It was discolored and tasted strange, and I love broccoli. The red sauce wasn't anything special, but neither was it of poor quality. The pizza was a tad smaller than some of the others around town, and a bit more expensive, but the tastes were solid if not exceptional. I'd give it a 3.5 overall, though some people seem to think anything below a 5 is a failing grade. This is a 7 out of ten, not quite an 8.
I had wings and pizza, and they were both good and bad:-The wings were big, covered with a tasty sauce. But the sauce was watery, and the wings appeared to be cooked only on one side and very uncooked looking on the other. The one semi-browned side was wrecked by the rather rubbery other side.-The pizza was tasty, but a large margarita should have more than one or two shredded basil leaves on it.I think if the wings were cooked all the way, and the pizza had more basil on it I'd try it again. As it stands, it's tough to return for more.
Called ahead to place a take-out order. On hold for 5 minutes. Hung up, called back and they took my order. Should have stopped there. Should have tried the pizza, just had a salad…Brussels sprout Caesar. I was disappointed. Just a few cold roasted Brussels spouts on a bed of spinach…where’s the romaine? Dressing was too creamy…Not good. And they charged $11.50. Not impressed.
