Stopped for a bite and this place had really cool light jazz playing. The bar and restaurant have a great vibe. Food is good and service too. You can eat inside or out and they have tables by the windows that are open. Lots of people in and out just stopping at the bar.
We haven't been to Leunig's in a number of years and were looking forward to a graduation luncheon with our HS graduate. it started off well with a delicious mocktail, but digressed quickly with the arrival of our calamari which smelled fishy and tasted like rotten fish (even after being fried!). My 15.00 cesear "salad" appeared to have been thrown on the plate and consisted of a small head of pale Romaine with a tiny bit of tasteless dressing. (they used to have an amazing Cesaer). My daughter ordered the turkey-bacon sandwich and it was inedible, not to mention $18 for a little sandwich turkey slapped between two slices of imperceptibly grilled bread, a slice of tomato, and an old piece of lettuce (with a tiny bit of jam on the bread). My husband's 'falafal" was terrible as well. We ended up sending back the calamari (I don't think I've ever done that before at a restaurant, but this was pretty outrageous). A few minutes after leaving, we all developed stomach aches! Their credit card service wasn't running, so they couldn't take cards. Too bad, or I would definitely have done a charge-back. Sorry to see Leunig's go but I guess we will be saying goodbye to that place.
Ok, so I paid $27+ for 7 macaroons, but if they're fresh they're delicious. Make sure you ask because I've bought stale ones here before too. This place is super cute though and makes me feel fancy.
My spouse and I went for dinner. I have some dietary limitations and I could not imagine a restaurant that could have been more accommodating. Ashley was our waitress and the manager was especially helpful. I have no idea of the manager’s name but she was quite knowledgeable about the area. Her ideas about what else to do in the area was very helpful. The food was great and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. We were delighted!
Good selection and flavourful foods. Ideal location on Church Street market place. The chicken carbonara was excellent and beautifully presented vegan cauliflower dish.
This review is for the Petit Bijou Kiosk. We couldn’t even order as the two workers didn’t even acknowledge our presence. One of the employees was more interested in talking to her friend than take care of her customers. The other employee was playing on her phone. We must have stood there for 10 minutes. We finally turned and walked away. Terrible place.
It was a nice little outside place and the poutine was ok but it was busy
Beyond my wildest expectations! As soon as you enter, you know you are in for a treat, and the meal did not disappoint! I'll be back for sure. The best meal I had in town, and on a par with the best in any major city in USA for sure. Do yourself a favor - enjoy a meal here!
Servers were pleasant and knowledgeable, and not thrown off by the fact that we had an infant with us. The appetizers and dinners were well prepared and presented. The duck poutine was an especially big hit, but there were no disappointments. Well, almost none. While the appetizers and meals were generous and delicious, the desserts were small and not particularly distinguished. So go here for dinner and somewhere else for dessert. But definitely go here for dinner.
Excellent restaurant that the whole family enjoyed. The filet and duck were amazing. My daughter enjoyed the calamari appetizer. Excellent ambiance.
