Super disappointed , we reserved early. Arrived and seated, got our drinks, placed our order and waited, and waited... Had a couple come in and sit down next to us and they were served an app, entree's and desert while we continued to wait. My husband flagged our non existent waitress who let us know she was assisting a larger party and was so sorry for the wait. She was going to the kitchen to check on our food and would get him a drink refill. An hr and 15 minutes our food arrived Luke warm except the Fry's. Waiting for the server to come back and check in to complain... I payed for a late, cold dinner. 10 minutes after the food arrived his drink refill arrived as well. Over all it was a horrible experience. Wouldn't recommend.
Holy smokes! We have been wanting to try EB Strong's and tonight it finally happened. Dinner was spectacular, the staff was amazing, I am going to go out here and say that this place blew Leunigs OUT OF THE WATER! I say this mostly for the service, their food is easily equally as good. They are really amazing. Leunigs lately has left a I am better than you vibe with their service. If you are looking for an amazing dinner, atmosphere, and service, look no further than EB Strong's.
Pros:I changed my reservation to the day of(Friday) and they accommodated me despite their busy schedule. The atmosphere was greatThe food was goodVery friendly and helpful waitstaffCons:No sides included with entrees? Sides are $8 extraWe waited for almost 1:30 for our foodNY Strip Steak was probably on par with the best steak you could get at Texas Road House(not bad, but expected better for the $46 dollar price tag)The beer menu was extremely limited(not a con for everyone but worth mentioning)
Incredible experience at this restaurant. The people who work there are all very kind. Our waitress was lovely. The food is AMAZING. Highly recommend the surf and turf entree, the steak was cooked perfectly. Can’t wait to come back next time we’re in Burlington!
We were served by Caitlin. She is extremely knowledgeable about the menu, as well as wine pairing. We started with the jumbo shrimp, as well as a Caesar salad. The homemade Caesar dressing was fabulous. We followed up with the filet mignon and a ribbsteak. Both were cooked to perfection. We will definitely return here.
We both ordered the prime rib special, mine with the garlic mashed per the menu, my spouse substituted the fingerling potatoes. For appetizers I ordered the French onion soup and the wedge salad for her. Everything was near perfect, the romantic seats for 2 in the back, our server Emily, the bread with salted butter, and our entrees. The fingerling potato’s were the only miss, resembling charcoal briquettes. We had more than enough to eat and didn’t send them back.
We were a large family group of 8 in a private room in the restaurant. The service was excellent. The food was amazing. The noise level a bit high, however, due to the "screen" between us and the rest of the diners. Everyone found something they liked on the menu. I highly recommended the tuna appetizer. The filet entree was excellent, too. Great grandma complained that there weren't vegetables with the entree. The ambience is quaint and historical, featuring dark wood paneling and tiny white tiles on the floor. Overall, a great experience, albeit a little pricey. They charged a small cutting fee for a celebratory cake we brought. That seemed a tedious detail when there are 8 of us ordering champaign and $35++ entrees, plus starter salads and appetizers. I think they should have waived it for the principal of the matter. If they had, I wouldn't have written about it.
It was another delightful night out dining with my friends at EB's:--Scrumptious entrees and salads--Beautiful presentation--Fabulous cocktails--Super friendly and attentive wait staff--Festive atmosphereE B Strong's never disappoints!
We each had the filet over a bed of mashed potatoes. It was flavorful and done to perfection. The truffle fries were probably the best I’ve ever had. The hostesses and the wait staff were kind and courteous too. I definitely recommend.
Consistently ate here at least once per month (sometimes more) from 2017-2020 and it was always great. Great food, great service, great selection, and great staff. With that, we will sadly not be back because of the rapidly rising crime in the city of Burlington, especially at night, and in and around Church Street. This combined with the extremely progressive, unacceptable agenda of the Burlington City Council, the lack of prosecution of criminals, the tolerance for drug use, and the acceptance of vagrancy and homelessness in Chittenden County don’t bode well for this great upscale restaurant.
