Beautiful setting on the screened in porch overlooking the Winooski River. The food was delicious! Pulled pork sandwich and 15 hour brisket were tender, flavorful and came with mouthwatering sides. The bread and butter pickles topped it all off. Friendly service made for a wonderful experience.
We ordered take out to celebrate our kid’s graduation. Pickup was a breeze, things well-packaged (fully compostable), and even came in a reusable bag. We ordered the poutine (both brisket and pulled pork), sandwiches and the 2-person sharing plate. The poutine, especially the brisket, were to die for! Sauces and the dishes had just the right balance of salty and savory, just a slight kick. Sandwiches were ok, though one kid was unhappy with the generous pile of jalapeño peppers. Shared plate was perfect for me and spouse, and a great way to sample things without committing to just one type of smoked goodness, The sides of baked beans were enough for a meal in their own right; the smashed potatoes were yummy; between the poutine and those, they clearly have a gift with spuds. Great pickles to balance things out. We’re just passing through, but I promise that if we ever find ourselves in Burlington again, this is on our list!

Good BBQ in Burly? This is it. I went to Bluebird for dinner on a Friday at around 6. Didn't make a res so ended up sitting at the bar. It was right before it got busy for dinner. The food and service was amazing. I ordered the 15 hour brisket with a side of mac n cheese & black eyed peas salad. The brisket fell apart as soon as I forked it into my mouth. I wasn't even mad about it. It was a beautiful moment. Loved the homemade sauces. Also, shoutout to homeboy behind the counter making drinks! He knows his stuff. And moves so fast it's almost intimidating. Be back soon, BB.
I don't want to take Bluebird Barbecue for granted - every meal we have gotten there is A number one. So I need to take the time to tell everyone. The meats are so high quality, The spare ribs are so flavorful and all meat/no fat. The smoked chicken with Alabama white sauce is so moist and tender - the flavors really pop. Tonight we had a special treat of pumpkin donuts. What a nice way to top off the meal. And let me know for get the Bluebird people. They are all super nice and helpful
Love the food. Don't bother with fries as a side, they're only ok and everything else is much better. Wish there were more fresh / healthy side/salad options to cut through some of the heavy food in your meal. Don't really blame them though, this is BBQ after all.
Sadly no dine-in due to COVID restrictions. This is was my very first order and very first time trying their food. We got the meal for two people and everything was delicious! Prices were reasonable and food was ready on time. Their brisket is great ?
Had the BBQ ramen. Very good but small portion. They have an easy to use ordering system for dine in too. Ps Ive been here a few other times over the years for BBQ and it was too notch.
Yummy!I liked the 1950s music: Buddy Holly, Hank Williams Jr., Danny and the Juniors, &c.For some reason the mashed potatoes were the best part of our party's meal...? Unexpected.Mediocre collard greens. Can't win 'em all. *shrug*Pleasant staff; we were thanked for visiting by like five separate employees on the way out.
Food, service and time frame were all beyond expectations. Will absolutely come back many many times.
