I’ve been going to the yellow bus since I was three years old and it is just as I remember it.I lived on Park street when I first moved to America. I used to play on the swings for hours then my grandfather would buy me a small ice cream. It became a daily treat. What I didn’t understand was that my grandfather saved His change throughout the week to save up for my ice creams. The staff nicknamed me “The Penny Kid,” by the end of the summer.Revisiting Beansie’s as an adult is nostalgic. The staff feels like a family with new faces. The burgers are classic American slider style while the French fries have a classically salty taste. The fries aren’t crispy but that brown soft fry that pairs perfectly with a few sprays of vinegar.Popsicles, canned soda, and hot dogs are all perfect additions to your day at Battery Park. Beansie’s has allowed us to enjoy days, evenings, and sunsets here for years.

Great food. Ordered the Michigan dog, a hamburger with Michigan sauce and fries. The fries were awesome and they give you a lot- 2 people could split a small. The Michigan sauce was very tasty and a little spicy which I really liked. They’re cash only so come prepared!
Everyone who works here and the owner are the SWEETEST DOWN TO EARTH people Iv ever meet! I'm from NY and I didn't have the cash and they said "just give it to us next time" my HEART! I cried because it was the sweetest thing ever the fact that they trust a complete stranger I'm paying what I owe tomorrow and interest of a tip for not having it and I appreciate the act of kindness we need MORE KIND HEARTED PPL LIKE BEANSIES BUS!! ❤? to be compassion and trust in this world. I ordered a cheeseburger and a creemee. The creemee wasn't creamy at all and I could taste ice crystals. The cheeseburger was just sad -- the patty was thin and dry, and the flavor wasn't impressive. I guess it's a good place to grab a bite when you're in Battery Park and need a quick snack, but otherwise, for the price, it isn't worth making the trip. They also only accept cash btw.
