The maple biscuits are to DIE for and I recommend to all on a weekly basis! Nice lighting and decent seating all around. Line is kind of in the middle of the place and pick-up counter is often a squeeze of a fit. Still, good breakfast sandwiches, lattes, and salads!
Adam was so nice with my daughter and I, and made sure they could prepare our sandwiches early in the morning for our hike, even if they were officially only serving breakfast at that time (7:30am).The place is beautiful. Certainly worth the detour!
Upon walking into this place, I got a warm and relaxed feeling from the the layout of the cafe. The large garage doors opening up to the outside makes it feel like a true gathering place for the community. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and felt that the portion size did not match the price. The bun also reminded me of the same type of bun I would get on a McDonald’s sandwich. I also got some drip coffee to go. If you’re looking for a fresh brew I would recommend checking out an actual coffee shop. There are plenty around burlington. Overall, this place does deliver on a fresh, local bakery experience.
Love the laptoplessness! Only critique is portion size - that avo toast was WAY too big, the bread was unpalatably thick. The flavours were delicious, service was fast and the staff very kind. Also would be great to have physical plates for food ordered on location, esp bc it was so messy to eat.

For a small state, Vermont had an abundance of excellent bread options. August First is at the top of the list when searching for the perfect baguette. The chickpea salad bowl is also amazing. Oh! And the cookies and scones! LOVE!!!

After hearing that this place has the best sandwiches and breakfast in the area I decided to give it a try. I got a simple bacon, egg, and cheese. It came on literal slices of sandwich bread, no English muffin or bagels available in the bakery? And it was underwhelming at that. Super thin, one egg and 2 and a half pieces of bacon for 10 bucks and no cheese? I’ll stick to any other place. I feel like it’s the hype that people are raving about, this was totally lame. Didn’t even make it right and it has three ingredients. Not that hard to mess up.I am editing my review to include that when looking at the menu online on Google the breakfast sandwich is pictured on a delicious looking roll. Not two flat and cold slices of bread. I’d like a refund please whenever the owner sees this.
