Im only recommending this place because its batter for krn hotdogs are slightly better than other places. But, they are extremely inconsistent with quality. One day the corndogs are fat as a cow while raw in the middle, and other times theyre skinny as a stickfigure and fine. Also, the wait time is unreasonable. Two corndogs took longer than 20 minutes. Oh, and their staff is very sweet but one time i walked in there with my bf, the asian dude taking our order just busted out laughing. Maybe he was having an extremely bad day thus went full neurotic, but that was extremely unprofessional. Or maybe he just got annoyed at us being indecisive with our food choice. Idk. As for their food, it’s mediocre. Its fine for days youre feeling lazy and just want something simple.
I had to wait over 45 minutes for TWO corn dogs. The other 3 times I’ve been here, I had to wait just as long for single-person orders. I was excited for a Korean drive thru, but this place has disappointed me repeatedly.
This place is amazing! First time trying the hot dogs and my mind was soo confused because it was so delicious! Bring your appetite, bring your friends bring everyone because you want to share this food!Prices are great I mean $10 for a chicken teriyaki plate with all the trimmings? AMAZING!
March 12, roughly 2:15pm update:Bought another corndog. Still undercooked. For a shop that specializes in Korean corndogs, you would think that they would focus on getting it right. Easier to just run it through the air fryer at home.The garlic chicken was awesome, though. Raising it up 2 for the overall presentation. Just don't get the potato korean corndog.Original review: I was super excited for more optionsbin this corner of Taylorsville. I was the only person waiting for food (about 10mins), was around 6:30pm.Got a half/half corndog, with potato batter. It was raw halfway through. Ended up microwaving it to cook the rest, and it turned out okay.Tried ordering the garlic chicken, they were out (I get it, limited fresh items are better than abundant old) ended up getting the bulgogi. I get its rough times, and they're trying to save money, but you should at least make a quality marinade. Are you guys reusing the marinade? The meat has almost no flavor, as if it were boiled. Most of the plate was rice, and it was old overcooked rice.I'll end up using it for a fried rice dish where I can add some type of sauce that this one is lacking.Having worked in professional kitchens, this was a big disappointment. I'll try again in another month, to see if things change.Whether it's a staffing issue, or recipe, hopefully its resolved by then.
The best food I’ve had in a hot minute! Both guys working were so incredibly helpful and passionate about the dishes they prepare.Extremely large portions with INCREDIBLE flavors! Highly recommend the spam musubi for my fellow spam lovers! And that Mac salad is to die for?? definitely will be back to get some more food in my belly!Corn dogs are next on my list after watching them make them!!Thanks for your friendly and delicious food service!
The Korean cheese dog was soooo good I’ve never had it with sugar but it was super tasty!I ordered chicken katsu it came with Mac salad, salad and rice.I ordered teriyaki chicken, Mac salad, salad and rice.The sauces were good as well!I went around 11:30 am it took me about 10 minutes the time I ordered to when I received it.If you are in a hurry I suggest you call ahead and go pick it up.The food was great, great quality, its was hot and ready to order.This is not mo bettas so stop comparing the two. It’s not hot dog on the stick so stop comparing It. This is Korean food and it’s yummy!I know there are bad reviews to be honest I hadn’t gone because of the bad reviews but I decided to take a chance and I was impressed.Remember it’s in the middle of a pandemic, there is shortage of staff everywhere be patient to our local businesses and if waiting was too much - order ahead.What I would recommend though is that you guys have a menu outside of what you have I had to look on your website to check your menu. Other than that it was awesome experience and I’ll be going back.
Went to the one in Taylorsville. Got the katsu and grilled chicken plates. Both chicken styles are bland. You really need the sauce they give you for dipping to taste good. But they don’t give you that much sauce. Need at least 2 sauce containers. Can do without the salad. It’s nothing but lettuce and ranch. Mac salad is tasty. They do give you a good amount of rice and chicken. Probably won’t go back. Very average and not yummy for a place called yummy.
I’m giving Yummy’s 2 stars cause the only thing I feel was “fresh” on my plate was the Garlic Chicken, and it was BOMB!! I ordered the 3meat plate with Kalbi,Bulgogi, and the garlic chicken. My other plate was Kalbi and Katsu. Idk if they just keep the meat cooked and under a warmer if so, it just needs to be more hot. My bulgogi tasted like it was made yesterday. The Kalbi just didn’t taste fresh. Yeah definitely don’t mind the wait when it comes to this type of food, but it could be a little better. I also didn’t know the katsu sauce would not be the like others ?! Their cucumber kimchi was really good too! ?? Also I added the picture of the Musubi cause idk if they have a maker or are shaping it by hand but the rice when I opened the package just fell on my lap. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day?!
Great local Hawaiian and Korean food restaurant. Stopped in for a company lunch on a whim. Everyone was happy. Loved the macaroni salad. Only complaint is limited interior seating. Probably better to plan for take away.
I've been dying to try out Korean corn dogs, so it's really cool to finally have a place in Utah. I'm excited to see their creations in the future. I like everything about it except for the sugar. They sprinkle sugar on top of it, and I'm not a fan of sweet dishes for the most part. Except for dessert of course, I love my sweets. Anyways, I enjoy the batter and the cheese/sausage. It looks like a hot dog to me, but it's called sausage I guess. The batter is very light, it's different than traditional corn dogs. I usually order two at a time and that fills me up. Customer service is also awesome, definitely try it out sometime!
