Great taco salad, wife and kids had the burritos. No complaints and no left overs. Forgot about pictures, didn't need them. Perfect ?. Get to this location and see and taste the difference .

I am used to more of the East Coast Mexican Food Chainsm I would put this as an average place. Not Great, not Bad. Fill your Belly Mexican Food on the Run.
Not a good idea to do an online order around dinner time!! They will take care of everyone in the line and drive through before they even start on the online orders. A customer who had arrived before I did waited for over an hour for his order and I’m currently still waiting and it’s already been over 20 minutes. Best just to come wait in physical line if you want your food at a reasonable time.
salad does not taste as good when they forget the dressing on a take out (twice in a row) of course I should of look inside the second time but I did not think it was gonna happen again, please look inside and make sure everything is there before leaving the place.Salads are the only decent at cafe rio everything else tastes the same, at least this is my point of view. If you want better Mexican food go to a real Mexican restaurant not an Amexican restaurant.
I love the fact that they have a drive through! Made my visit that much more enjoyable. With the pandemic and all, I would prefer a drive through over dine in. Just my preference. Ordering was fast and easy, the line wasn’t too long. The food was muy delicioso!
We ordered online to pick up. We'll take some ownership for not checking our order before leaving. Got home and found no salad dressing. the quesadia was not cut and was soggy on the bottom.Neither of us finished our meals.It was a sad experience for a place we expect better from.
Worse customer service ever, the restaurant is dirty, they didn'thave any fountain drink in function , didn't have napkin, employees yelling each other, they didn't have any organization serving the food. Very bad experience.
The man preparing our meals went way too fast, he acted like he didn't hear any thing we were asking for. My son asked for a kids meal (quesadilla w beans and chips), only I asked the meal prep guy to just warm the tortilla w out putting cheese in it, my kid only wanted a plain tortilla; the meal prep man handed us a super over warmed (crispy) tortilla w out the kids meal part (no beans, chips etc)...when I tried to explain again he argued. Then the check out guy put my daughters tacos on the customer behind us tray. We had to get back in line and re-do hers because that customer walked off w out noticing??♀️...The food tasted great, but the experience was BAD. We are not from SLC, but we had always heard how great Cafe Rio is, we really wanted to try it.
Trying it enchiladas style today... Still good ? and always satisfying the huger needs.
