I went on Tuesday for the leg and thigh meal deal. I have never been to this chain before. What we received were two leg and back meals. The chicken was over cooked and the chips and guacamole they up sold me because he said they were fresh were not fresh. I won't do that again.
Cleanliness 3/5Customer service 5/5Bathroom 3/5Order accuracy 4/5Food taste 4/5Price 4/53.8/5 stars!Came in for lunch, ordered the stuffed quesadilla it came with chips and brilla sauce. The sauce is top notch, the quesadilla was a bit shy on cheese, but had plenty of meat! The tables were not that clean, and the ice tea was empty!
They had a hard time understanding what we were asking for. The staff seemed unaware of what they offer. We also unfortunately got bad rice. It was very difficult to eat. The manager did replaced it with fresh rice when brought to their attention. Then when asking for a box to get our food to go the cashier said they don't have boxes. This also required the manager getting involved for her to give us a box.The food is good but communication and understanding of what they have is a little off. Maybe the staff is very new. Maybe they need more training.
Worst location compared to others in the valley. They are more concerned with drive thru than actual people dining in. Stood at the front counter for 5 mins before someone acknowledged us, which were okay with. But they skipped over us and were calling out other numbers placed after us. They didn't have a copy of our food order, so I had to give them my receipt. There were others that stood at front counter before someone took their order. One lady had to get mad just have them take her order.
Excellent and accessible option to dinner or lunch. Great taste, very generous portions and don't forget to ask for the extraordinary avocado sauce and Pico de Gallo
I spoke with the manager and she was really nice and felt so bad. She mentioned that they haven't received their shipment for the plates/containers they normally use so they had to use the clear plastic containers. She mentioned that they never received any feedback about the containers melting but she was glad I brought it to their attention. Hopefully this will help them get the right containers/plates to use. They packed my hot chicken in a clear plastic container and yes, the plastic obviously melted. I don't know why they thought this was a good idea but I do think it's safe to eat food from a melted container.
So good!! Love the chicken! So tender, falls right off the bone, mashed potatoes and gravy are good and the salsas are fantastic!! Definitely going back!!
I love their salsas and agree food is consistent. Your order is always correct as well which we like. The only thing kinda sucks is they only give you 2 tortillas for your 3 piece meal and 2 sides at least give 3.
I've been to countless El Pollo Loco chains across 4 states at numerous different locations but this one takes the cake. Talk about poor service and lazy employees!!! Food is great but the staff needs to be re-educated on customer service!!!
Pollo loco is very consistent in their food no matter what time of day you order it will always taste the same. Now the chicken is amazing has good flavor and comes straight off the grill. The rice has good flavor as well and I love how they don’t seem to add any oil to it which makes it non greasy. The beans on the other hand taste straight out of the can, which they most likely are, but to me I just order double rice because it’s that good. Tortillas need some work I get it you want to be fast so you just microwave them, but the quality really lacks (mainly corn) they come out ripped and soggy. Salsas aren’t too spicy which is fine but they are watered down a bit too much so you hardly get the flavor. As far as the service they are fairly nice I would say they just seem to forget some things in the bag sometimes. The price is great you really can’t beat it to feed a family.
