I stopped by for dinner with my wife and kids on Monday. The food and service were excellent as usual. We usually dine in on Saturday or Sunday nights when we take our kids to the movies. All the waiters and waitresses always take good care of us and never forget to bring our kids their ice cream which makes them very happy, while my wife and I enjoy our coconut cream pies. Always a pleasant experience!Looking forward to try the new ribs and the lemon Berry pancakes on our next visit.

I LOVE this place. Brenda, our Server, was super accommodating, didnt hover, but made sure we had everything we needed. She didn't ever "forget" us. Lol. I had the Cheeseburger Salad and it was so fresh and yummy I had to eat it all.

The food it was yummy yummy & fast service!!!?

My daughter, her friend and I stopped by earlier today for a bite to eat. My omelette was so dried up as well as the pancake after taking a bite.A short time later the new waiter of only three days named Ronny, asked why I didn't finish the meal as I had stacked the plates.I voiced my concern and his only response was that I should try something else on the menu on my next visit. Not even an offer of discounting it or to remake it. As we were at the table I hear him talking with the ladies be us about salads. Apparently he brought them extra dressing for the salads they ordered. He expressed his concern saying there's nothing worse than a dry salad. That is would be disrespectful.I guess having dried up pancakes and omelettes doesn't count. As we were leaving and paying at the front counter. I expressed my concerns with the meal. The young lady didn't seem to care one way or the other. Except for to take the payment.I have no plans on returning to this location.

The Black Bear Diner is a fantastic diner that promises through its large portions and fantastic menu options to leave you walking out full. Our party took an assortment of foods from breakfast egg dishes and pancakes to burgers and onion rings - all of us were enamored by the charm of the diner and the delicious menu items, but we will all need some time to walk off all the food we had!Recommendations include The Original ScramBOWL, carrot cake and pancakes! The hot chocolate is fantastic as well.

Lettuce dry, orange dry too!!! We was waited 40 minutes for our order!! Our first time in this restaurant and a bad experience!!! The birthdays breakfast of my little daughter it was bad!! ??

Had the meatloaf and it was ok, but the mashed potatoes and green beans were so good. Nice staff and we were served quickly. The husband enjoyed the BBQ burger. The cheese pizza from kids menu was gross according to our 7 yr old....not a lot of flavor.

Jared was amazing never had such great service! He was so nice and i don't come here often but I over heard him talking to regulars he new there names and orders which is so sweet! But of course he kept the huckleberry lemonade coming! He deserves a raise such a fantastic employee!

Haven't had a breakfast at a sit down restaurant in years. Hoped to have a great breakfast. The sausage was way over cooked, as were the hash browns, and the biscuit was under cooked to the point of being sticky, doughy, and starchy. The eggs were almost perfect, just slightly under done, but edible. Ordered some toast to replace the biscuit. The toast, preserves and orange juice were very good. The waitress was attentive and quik to serve. Overall, very disappointing I won't be back. I don't complain about food at restaurants because I am aware of the disgusting things cooks do to food when customers complain.

This is the third time I've eaten at Black Bear diner in Jordan Landing. Each time has been variation of my experience this day. The portions are generous, I've never left without to-go boxes. My only negative is the food. On my first trip here I got fried potatoes and they were beautiful and crispy but the oil tasted like it had gotten too hot and the flavor was unfortunate. This time I ordered biscuits and gravy, ham, and scrambled eggs. The gravy and the eggs were a degree above being cold. Someone else got a bacon chicken wrap and french fries and absolutely loved everything. Another person got chicken fried steak, eggs, and hash browns. Their food was also less than warm and the eggs undercooked. She says the whites were runny. To be fair, the eggs were over easy and that was possibly my friend not understanding that's how the eggs are cooked. I will say that the service is great and all the staff is attentive and polite.
