Ive had Mexican food in 10 different states. I've grown up in Texas where Tex-Mex is king, and now have lived 12 years in Southern California with some of the best most authentic....I know Mexican food, this is not Mexican food this is the worst Mexican food I've ever had in my life. the salsa tasted like straight tomato paste from a can. The beans also tasted like old El Paso from a can.
Our service was great but we weren't satisfied with the food at all. The fish tacos were the worst out of everyone's. I forced myself to eat them simply because I was hungry. They need a new cook soon!!! This was our second time there and unfortunately our last. I hate posting bad reviews but it's a scream they need an upgrade BAD, the place is beautiful!
I really disliked the food here, but gave it two stars because of their decent margarita. The chicken tamale was pretty much inedible, and the salsa Verde sauce honestly tasted like vomit. The chips and salsa are trash, the salsa tastes more like a bad marinara sauce than salsa as it's very heavy on the tomato paste. I rarely have bad experiences eating Mexican food, however I'd never go back here even if the food and drinks were free.
The food was very good and the service was fair, I think the waitress was stressed when my husband wanted chili rellenos and she said they were out. It was early on a Friday night and he wasn't happy, that is why we went there. So the waitress went and talked to the manager and they had them, so everyone was happy. The waitress just seemed to avoid us after that.
Prices were fair, service was top notch, never asked for a refill and I was offered to-go drinks which was a literal first that every other restaurant in America needs to adopt. Spanish rice was the best I had, ever. We were passing through for the night on vacation and this was the best Mexican cuisine I was served in the southern half of the states I visited. Out of the 3 different mexican restaurants I visited in Arizona, Nevada and New Mexico this one was by far the best value, best tasting, and best service. The triple crown of Mexican food for this vacation for my family. Thanks Pancho and Leftys for a great dinner. My family will always remember saint George because of you.
Really loud inside during dinner rush. Restaurant was not overly clean. Waiter had more food on his apron than i would have liked to see. Food wasn't really that good not what we would call "authentic" Mexican cuisine. Beans, meats were likely out of a can not home made. Price was really inexpensive, but in this case you get what you pay for. Don't set your expectations too high if you plan to visit for a meal.
food and drinks were great, Rose was hilarious and my absolute favorite! Definitely coming back soon!
This place has good food. However after we we seated they took a very long time to cook our food. People that that were seated after us were do eating and left their table before out order came. I am not sure what happened but it seems like the probably misplaced our order
This place has been a long standing favorite of many of my family. Several Uncles and Aunt and their families. This day we had driven from Orem to St George to see a sister who was in St George from the Phoenix area. It's comforting to know we can always find excellent dining.I ordered the fluatas. They are not some tiny little roll up with little filling. These are the size of the plate and chocked full of the filling. Now I'm hungry ?!
Tamale and Chile relleno were the worst I have had. The staff was very nice and polite. Next time I'll eat chips and hang out with the staff.
