Cute little vintage candy/soda store. It’s really close to Town Square Park, so a very short walk to get ice cream.
⭐️??? ???ℍ??ℕ ???ℝ?⭐️•••??.??????.?? •••》Today you can find all kinds of old fashioned sodas and root beer. Old and modern candies. Ice cream .Judd’s General Store is the oldest ongoing establishment in St. George. In 1908, pioneer businessman Thomas Judd purchased a home that had been built in 1876, from Joseph Bentley. Just a few years later in 1911, Judd built a store out of adobe bricks in front of the home. The Bentleys had been operating a small store out of the home and Thomas Judd purchased their inventory to open his store. The store sold general merchandise to locals, many of whom were sheep and cattle ranchers. This included dry goods, groceries, hay, grain, and even clothing. After Thomas Judd’s death in 1922, the store passed to his son Joseph and then to his grandson Tom Jr. The store remained in the Judd family until 1982, and was the oldest family-owned business in St. George.May 31st2022
Best place in Saint George hands down. I have come here probably around 50 times and I have never had an experience that didn’t make me feel a lot happier, relaxed, and satisfied. Their soups paired with breadsticks that have great homemade ranch, hot cheese sauce or dipping in your soup is enough to turn any stressed day into a beautiful one. I hope they continue to have a lot of success. If you come here, it’s practically guaranteed that you’ll have a good time. There’s a reason why this restaurant has very few low ratings. Also it’s the oldest company in Saint George that’s still operating and it’s a part of the history of this place. If you’ve never been to Judd’s you’re missing out.
If you're coming here, it's likely because you have kids and need a convenient place to grab a bite to eat. That's fine. Their customer service is fine, but this review is based on the food alone. The bread sticks were okay, the ranch tasted okay (it tasted a bit too sour), and the cheese sauce was pretty gross. The ice cream comes from Farr's ice cream which is pretty mediocre, but the portion sizes are generous ?. The strawberry tasted like bubble gum, and the cookies & cream just tasted like cream. ?You can find much better places around St. George, so I wouldn't recommend this place.
The oldest business in St. George. As I was told by one of the workers this store is 111 years old as of 2022. Great little store with ice cream, bottled drinks and old time candy. Perfect location and stop if you at the splash pad/ river right in the middle of time. The employee were nice and helpful. The store isn’t big but they get you in and out quickly. Great treat shop.
This is a fun candy, ice cream, and soda shop. They had a variety of old fashion treats that you can’t find everywhere. I felt like a kid again seeing candy I hadn’t seen in years. It is defiantly a fun family friendly shop. Kids of all ages will enjoying going to Judd’s Store.
The owners of this store enjoy harassing and following the tenants at the apartment next door. My experience with them has been nothing but unpleasant and aggravating. Following a young woman and making her feel unsafe? Unbelievable. Don’t support these individuals.
Such a sweet and quaint shop selling unique sodas, candies n icecream! We were stuffed but couldn’t resist their collection. Great shop!
Really cool early 1900s building and gas pump. Inside is more of a soda jerk shop with candy. They also serve Farr's ice cream. Expect candy and soda to be above average pricing. It was about $11 for 3 soda bottles.
We walked in to check out this place and it was so cute! Small little old-fashioned candy shop. They also have soups and breadsticks available. We bought a breadstick with the ranch dipping sauce and it was 10/10!!! I want to go back and get more. Lots more.
