Came by because nostalgia. The food is exactly how I remember. Over-the-top shakes that are just perfect. The pastrami burger is fantastic! Be aware, do not upsize the shakes unless you really want a massive shake.Must complain about the cleanliness of the exterior and bathrooms. Trash everywhere. The windows are not clean. Honestly, I thought it might have been abandoned.
Awesome diner. My only only stipulation, they charged me like 1$ extra because I wanted 2 flavors. And it's syrup. So I wanted a small (which is very big) ans asked for 2 flavors. How is that 1$ more? That's a 25% increase. What was so hard about switching the syrup bottle you squirt into the vanilla? Geez it cost them absolutely nothing to make it 2 flavors. Anyways everything else is awesome. Great atmosphere
Ordered 8 shakes. 5 of them were vanilla with candy bars in them, all 5 being a different type of candy. When they came out, they guy told me he didn’t know which was which and he expected me to be able to pick them out to make sure my kids got the correct one. I told them I had no clue, so I had my kids say what they ordered and he handed them “their shake”. Suffice it to say, nobody got what they ordered, myself included. I ended up giving my Chocolate shake to one of the kids who was upset that someone else was eating theirs and didn’t like the one they ended up with. You’d figure for $50, they could keep track of what shake they are making to ensure everyone gets what they ordered. Very disappointing. Also, don’t order anything with their Chocolate shell. It tastes like wax and is gross.
Ordered two shakes, when they were brought out one was overflowing and the lid didn’t fit. After fighting with that and arriving at home they both had way too much vanilla in them and tasted like isopropyl alcohol. Wouldn’t go here again.
First and last time I go to Iceburg in Saint George.. Outrageous prices spent almost $39 for 3 hamburgers and fries/onion rings and 2 shakes and a Coke The hamburgers were cold!! The milk shakes were ice cream in a cup. A cup with in a cup because it was so messy made!! The Onion rings were so big that you had to pull them apart to eat them but then all the breading fall off. Onion itself was under cooked. The frys were the only some what good part of this experience!!! DON'T WAIST YOUR MONEY!!!!
They missed our order so we had to wait longer. We ordered pastrami burger and footlong combo shake but we only got the pastrami and fries. Pastrami burger was good, foot long was ok, fries are ok. Shakes are really good.
I waited an hour (and counting) for two chocolate ice cream cones. When asked about 30 minutes into the missing cones case, they said the chocolate ice cream was having trouble freezing, but didn't offer a vanilla cone in its place and the workers just told us to wait. The customer service has never been good here- especially with rushes. I understand that, but for businesses that have been around for a long time they should've adapted for biggest crowds at this point. I JUST WANT MY ICE CREAM !!! The workers are nice and all- but distracted by all the things happening during rushes. This isn't the first time I have had to wait way too long for a single ice cream cone and at this point I don't plan on coming here anytime soon.
Went here with some family at night and was greeted by THE best cashier I have ever talked with. He was very comedic and made sure our order was correct. Besides that the food was delicious! Will definitely come back!
I usually give places a pass when something doesn’t go right, at least once, but when it happens again I want to write something. We only eat here when we come in to town, so we are not regulars, but regular when we come into town every few months.Here is the issue … they do really well when the orders are small. However, if the order gets large for our family from out of town, they just can’t seem to get it right. For example, they messed up on our order tonight at least twice. We asked for only mustard on the hot dog and they didn’t get the fry order correct. We totally would have driven back after we got back to our home to eat, but we are about 20 minutes away from the store. We even asked the manager if everything was in the bags and the order was correct and he assured us that it was. It’s just frustrating that this location can’t get it right and they confirmed that it was.Their shakes are still great, but they just can’t get the food order right. Might think again about doing food here and just go and get shakes. Frustrating to pay for the food that never gets to us!!!UPDATE: As you can see from the owner for me to be more specific about what was missing ... the hot dog wasn't made correctly and so my child wouldn't eat dinner that night ... we ordered some spicy fries - never received them, which meant we were short an order of fries. These obviously aren't big things, and the owner would like to make it right, for which I am grateful, but I am no longer in town and won't be back to this location for a while. I wish there was a way on Google Reviews to reply back to the response, but there isn't, so an update is in order. Thanks for the response, just wish the order would have been done right the first time, and like I said, this isn't the first time.
It was a Friday night and one of the few restaurants still open late since we had just arrived for our trip. The staff was kind and professional. Dinning in however was a nightmare with nothing but high school teenagers filling every booth and being loud/running around and making messes at the soda fountain.I felt bad for the staff being so busy that they couldn't try and control the situation.
