We wanted to have pollo loco tonight but when we arrived at 7pm it was closed. We were bummed and looked around. My family and I walked into El Coyote Charro and it was a ghost town ( don’t let that intimidate you ). The food not only came out FAST but DELICIOUS. I ordered three tacos and a burrito (which I shared) and we were so happy that pollo loco was closed!Don’t miss out! Trust me!
We bought 45 tacos (15 chicken, 15 steak, 10 Al pastor and 5 carnitas).Pros: they made the tacos quickly, the meat tasted good, seasoned well.Cons: a bit more expensive than we are used to (over $100) especially since most tacos we buy have limes, onions…These only had meat on the corn tortilla. Restaurant table tops were dirty.Girl at the counter was super nice and helpful. Overall, the meat tasted good, but we probably won’t come back
The food is delicious and authentic. We got pretty much one of everything and I don't have any complaints about the food. I thought the price was decent too. I'll definitely go back. However, they don't clean up the dining area really well. So don't go here expecting a high-end picture-perfect atmosphere. It's definitely lived in. But food is bomb.
I love the food here some of the best tacos in town and the asada fries are my daughters favorite. The only thing has been very frustrating more then a few times is one of the cashier's of the weekends in the evening she treats us with a big demeanor and makes the experience bad. Is more people who have felt the same way by the same girl she is looks pretty young hopefully she starts treating people better or change jobs ... Is another cashier mostly early times but she is super nice .
The Coyote Charro probably has the best Al Pastor in the entire state. I would highly recommend the tacos, they are well worth the price. I am also a big fan of the bottomless pinto beans. Small detail, but the limes were really good, something I value at a Mexican restaurant. The food was so good I forgot to take a picture until halfway done, sorry. Excellent meal, and if you like Mexican you gotta check it out.
This is a staple place whenever we visit St. George. The food is very good, and this is only one of the few places that has an Tromp for serving Tacos and Pastor. For some reason, Trompos are hard to find in the State of Utah. If you are not sire what a "Trompo" is, it is the ball of pastor meet that is placed on a stick for cooking against an open flame. This is the way Original Tacos al Pastor are cooked in Mexico City. The Trompo makes it possible to achieve a perfect blend of crispy meat and keeping the juices and the sauces and seasoning. Yum Yum. The prices are fair but I wouldn't call it inexpensive. Good tacos are hard to find and therefore I am willing to pay a little more for a good taste. The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I would totally invite anyone to stop by to check it out. I had the Pastor Burrito last time and it did not disappoint!
Stopped in for lunch while visiting. It was quite busy, and crowded. Not limiting capacity or enforcing masks at all. I got three mulitas with chorizo and al pastor which were both delicious. My partner also tried the tacos and liked them. I would definitely return to try other items--I only took a star off because it didn't feel very safe given the current pandemic and no safety measures seemed to be enforced.
Food was ok. Very plain. Tacos were literally just meat and tortilla. They did have a couple sauces. Sadly the soda machine didn't work and they didn't have water. The girl at the register really had a surly demeanor. And the place was filthy. Big cobwebs on the wallsand everything looked like it needed a good scrubbingdauces. few
Amazing food! Highly recommend the steak quesadillas!!
The Sunday hours are wrong. They weren’t open at 10:30 am. I like this place though, good food and good service.
