I dont enjoy leaving negative reviews because I know how much it can impact a business but we had a very negative experience at this location. We made an online order and found that the lobby was only open for that purpose. Which is fine, however, no one was actively checking the lobby to check on people picking up online orders. 20 minutes past our pickup time we finally got our food and found we were 2 burritos short, so we waiting another 5 for someone to see us from the kitchen to get their attention and let them know. We finally get the other two burritos and notice one of them was wrong but were told that it was “too late” to make it right. We got home to eat the rest of our food and found that everything we got was wrong. Don’t waste your time or money here!
The dining area was very very hot. We had to sit outside (in 89°) weather, because it was so hot in the restaurant. Employees look miserable and explained that the AC has been broken, but not getting fixed. Ridiculously hot for kids to be working in. We don’t want to sit and eat in a restaurant that’s hotter than it is outside. We’re very grateful for the employees that are working.
I have always really liked this place. I always tip very well, and the staff is always very friendly-- HOWEVER, today I was teaching my daughter to place and purchase her own order. She confirmed the card before I was able to tell her to leave a tip and then the negative treatment began. I walked back up to ask for sour cream that they forgot on my order, and the guy literally wouldn't even look at me. Then I walked down to the cashier and she had to tell him that he forgot my sour cream. It was as if I were a burden. By the way there were very few customers inside and it was not busy . Thinking I may get a new favorite.
Honestly, the food’s good but the customer service is horrible. Charging my mom extra because she’s a vegetarian and wants a decent amount of food. And then we get to the register and she puts her receipt with the $2 off code thing right in front of his face, he looks at it, then rings it up without doing the discount. Then he goes to get a manager and comes back with “would you like free chips and queso” after being charged extra?! Ridiculous.
I love costa vida so much! I prefer it to cafe rio, because they actually have a small salad which I like instead of the large salad! This location was clean and nice. Would recommend!
Delicious as always! team was fast and friendly. The manager John? (think he’s the GM) came over and checked on us to make sure we were doing great. Nice to see a place with involved managers! great job
This was a interesting visit. They were out o burritos and several other items. Service was very slow. The poor Doordash drivers you could see were anxious. I felt sorry for the employees who were trying and looked very tired.. Hats off to them. The biggest problem is the food on the line in the stainless containers like the beans and refried looked crusty and very unappetizing. I gave a extra star because the workers seemed to be trying without direction.
I asked for a salad with steak and this is what they gave me! Literally no lettuce and barely any steak rice and beans. WTH just go to cafe rio. Also they didn’t even give me my dressing to go with it.Update: I emailed them and they never got back to help with the problem. So to add to this review. They only care about them selfs and terrible costumer service.
My food was absolutely delicious, the crew was super friendly, and the restaurant was very clean! It was an amazing experience especially lately in St. George lately when service isn’t so great. I would have added a photo of my yummy quesadilla but I already ate it.
We eat here typically every week or two. Great service, delicious food, and friendly staff. If you eat burritos here get the queso on top instead of enchilada sauce, trust me, it's delicious! I usually get the sweet pork salad. It's always fresh, and they are generous with the meat and other toppings also. I far prefer Costa Vida over other competitors in this area. The flavors are excellent, and the prices are good. I love earning rewards that I can use towards future meals too.
