Wow! It was uncomfortable! Our bill was higher than the menu price! They were charging me an additional bogus "kitchen surcharge". It was unpleasant when I confronted them about it. So finally I told them I was now going to subtract from my bill a "trying to cheat me surcharge". I won't be going back there and will choose to go to the numerous other honest restaurants.
We got tacos and none of them were too great, just okay. The margaritas were the worst I’ve ever had, especially the flavored ones. Service was good until we got our food. Our server was busy when we arrived, so we didn’t place our order right away, no problem. The food took about 45 minutes to arrive, but we didn’t complain. We got our food right at 9pm when they were closing. They immediately turned off the music, started shutting all the windows, and making us uncomfortable while eating our meal. Would’ve rather had them deny us at the door an hour before close. Lastly, we got our bill with a kitchen fee? They said it was to help their kitchen staff out because they couldn’t raise the wages due to covid. Don’t care about the $2, but pay your staff a fair wage.
This place always has great food. It's always busy, and popular. Sometimes our ladies lunch group comes and eats in their basement. Most of the ladies love it. We don't love it when their airflow and A/c arent' working properly, or when the front door is propped open and all the cold air rushes downstairs.
Service was excellent. Wait time for the food to come felt long but it did seem busy for a Wednesday night.Chips were great. They bring two salsas, one mild and one spicy. The mild was bland and mostly liquid. The spicy one was also bland but had a good amount of heat.Ordered the carne asada burrito. It wasn’t bad but nothing to write home about. Perhaps there are much better menu items to try even though that was one of the starred items so I had higher hopes.Overall it wasn’t bad just not sure I’d be itching to come back.
I've passed by this restaurant many times so finally decided to stop for dinner. Great atmosphere, tasty food and reasonably priced. I'll be back!
It was good. I’m not sure I’m dying to return, but I’m glad I went. The chips and salsa were great. I don’t say that often, but they hit the spot.Entrees: I got the chicken mole, and my wife got chicken enchiladas. They were fine. Nothing special to be honest, but still good.Service: Our server, Jasmine, was awesome and very helpful. She had great insights on the menu and made us feel comfortable and welcome. Plus she always kept our drinks full which I appreciated.
Food was delicious and service was great! Just wanna give a shout-out to Andrew our waiter. He was so awesome and very attentive and helpful. To add to it we had a 1 yr old choking at our table and when he saw us hitting on her back he grabbed her and went to action and was able to get it out. Not only that he then got her ice cream and kept checking in on her and all of us throughout the night. Thank you Andrew, you are very much appreciated!!
Cafe Sabor is delicious! My husband had the chicken fajitas. The flour tortillas were homemade and VERY good. I had the enchilada, one sweet pork and one chicken. They both had plenty of meat! The chips and salsa were incredible!! They brought out one bowl of spicy and one mild. I don't typically like spicy but it had so much flavor! And last but not least...get the HORCHATA!!!! I don't know why they don't have drinks on the menu but we asked about it and don't regret it one bit. It was so creamy and flavorful. 10/10 Would recommend!
Went here on a double date and had a great time. Fabulous Guacamole. Loved that they have two types of salsa. One with a bit more kick (extra water please! - and they were great to keep our drinks full). Had the burrito supreme and LOVED it. Left full and satisfied after great food and service.PS great parking options too. We had a big truck and it isn’t always possible to find space to park.
Great customer service!! We made an order online and when I went to pick it up I was running late, about 20 minutes, so I was worried my food would have been sitting for a while. It wasn’t done when I got there and I ended up having to wait 40 minutes for my food, which I was initially bothered by. (There must have been an error with the order or something because multiple people came to pick up their orders and didn’t wait at all.) I asked if it would be possible to get some free drinks or something since we had to wait so long and the manager ended up giving us a gift card matching the price of our meal, almost $50. I was so pleased with them being so generous that I wasn’t upset at all having to wait as long as I did. As I said earlier, there must have been an issue with the computer or something because we’ve ordered from there before and it’s been in and out quick! And the food is always great too, one of our favorite restaurants to come to in the St. George area.
