Wesley and Dakota were outstanding. They do flips and tricks while making your food, extremely good portions (we asked for extra meat), and constantly cleaning their work area. We are visiting from Provo, and they put every Utah county location to SHAME.Please come train Provo’s staff!!!Best Cafe Rio experience we have ever had. Will be returning soon!

McDonald’s has better customer service. Soda fountain sprayed all over my hands, rice was basically uncooked. I will say my quesadilla was great, that’s why they got 2 stars not one. Even though it was 30 minutes before we were even able to order.

Fantastic Mexican at a fair price. Tomatillo sauce was amazing. All the meats were DELICIOUSLY Sweet to contrast with bold flavors. Most impressed with the staffs eagerness to please. It’s quite clear they work hard and like what they do.

One of my favorite restaurants.. love their barbecue on the salad. You could sense the tension of the workers.. they all seemed very stressed and agitated except for one wonderful worker. There was a man that was walking around to the tables, wiping them and asking everyone if they needed anything.. he offered to refill your drinks also. The food tasted yummy. My friends order was not quite what she asked for but was good.

Came in 20 minutes to close, not much of a line but there were only a few workers working so it was slow. I work customer service so I understand and was not the least bit upset. While I was waiting in line another customer waiting on an online order got very upset and was yelling nonstop at the employees. Even after they apologized and gave alternatives to fix the problem, she was still very upset. The manager eventually told her they weren’t going to serve her because she was treating them so badly but she was still yelling and wouldn’t leave. Every other customer eating their food in the lobby was laughing because she was acting so ridiculous. One employee was making food at this point because the manager was dealing with the customer, and when he finally could make my food he was extremely polite and helpful. Even after the store was closed and locked, the customer did not leave. The manager working the closing shift on May 5th is amazing for standing up for himself and for his employees and not letting this customer walk all over them. The food was amazing.

i ordered online and my pick up time was 5:40, i waited for about ten minutes before someone said that everyone in line waiting for their orders was gonna have to wait an extra 30 minutes past their scheduled pick up times. i waited the full thirty minutes and there were many people with later pick up times than me and bigger orders than me who got their food before i did. i then asked them to check on my order and they said there were still three orders ahead of me. it ended up being a full hour before i received my order and then was even more disappointed when the food was soggy. i work in the food industry so i was trying to be understanding but this was very very annoying, 0/10 recommend, go to durangos instead.

This place continues to dive in a downward spiral!!! Associates don’t care about anything you discuss with them and this same attitude is demonstrated my their management. The restaurant is hot, the staff just piles up the to-go orders and doesn’t call your name. This list could go on forever…seriously. We continue to experience issues with this location but we continue to try and try again hoping they will return to the great restaurant that they used to be. Tonight’s horrible example of service was that we ordered our food to go as this should be easier for all parties involved, right? Nope. Order was supposed to be ready to pick up at 6:05pm and my wife is still in line with 5 people in front of her at 7:30pm waiting for our order. At one point there were probably 20 people in line waiting while 1 single employee helped prepare these 20+ to-go orders….. This isn’t a one-off occurrence. Last time, we ordered it was a 45 minute wait and half the order was wrong. They almost ALWAYS hand over an incomplete or mostly incorrect order. CAFE RIO corporate, send in the troops! These guys need help in all aspects of running this business. We have visited many age Rio locations while traveling and know this is not the typical service provided by your organization, but when is it enough? I think we are done here with this location until something changes…. Fingers crossed that the order is even right tonight after waiting so long. Plus still waiting to even get the order…….Looks like we should have gone to Costa Vida like my wife said. Could’ve gotten our dinner, ate it, played a soccer game, and got back home to relax in this time frame.

The food was delicious, made to order as always, and the staff were friendly and helpful. They did appear to be understaffed and the poor guy working the cash registers for both in-store and pick-up orders was running around like a mad man; I felt a little bad for him. But they were definitely doing their best and the experience was still a good one.

The food is good and fresh, but be ready to wait. They are short staffed.

I ordered a simple tostada, my co-worker ordered a simple salad, another ordered nachos with extra guac. They got everything wrong and were skimpy on everything. I used to like this place but it has taken a nose dive. I won't be eating here again.
