Excellent pizza, very authentic to NYC style. From everything I’ve read online and in the owner’s responses to reviews, this place is doing everything they can to offer up the best slice in Utah. They’ve made adaptations to their recipes to work as well as possible outside of the specific conditions of NYC. This is a small NYC chain and the only location outside of the city.I stopped by for a quick lunch. The credit card machine was down due to their internet being out, so they were cash only the day I went. The restaurant has ample indoor seating, but I wish they had seating outdoors. They offer myriad options of pizza by the slice, which are on display at the counter. They have other menu options as well.I explained to the staff I had $6 cash and asked what single slice they’d recommend as the best. They offered (unprompted) to chip in some change from their tip jar so I could get two slices of cheese, which came with a drink. This was super generous of them! The pizza was served quickly after being heated, and was delicious. Very cheesy with rich flavor and light but firm crust. The crust had plenty of bend in it and was forgiving enough for the NYC-style fold while eating it.
Being from NY I was curious to see how this place compared to actual NY pizza. Unfortunately it is not close. When you fold the pizza, it cracks like a cracker and there's very little flop to the pizza. They did get the display correct of a NY pizza shop, but unfortunately the pizza just isn't there and it's very mediocre. The buffalo chicken slice had almost no flavor which is crazy. They need to get the owner from NY to come out here and fix the pizza because you can't claim to have NY style pizza and then serve this.
Let’s cut to the chase. I ordered one of the sausage meatball heroes and it was delicious! This place is still trying to find its groove. It’s new and isn’t a run of the mill fast food place. The staff is still in learning mode and it took about 20 minutes to get my sandwich. The hours are a little limited for a pizza joint - but overall, the quality is good and if you order ahead the wait probably isn’t such a big deal. They offer delivery as well.Sergio’s is in a brand new building that is very clean and modern. It has two bathrooms and they carry Pepsi products in the soda machine. Hours are 11-8 Mon - Sat. The staff was very friendly. While waiting for my food I learned that this is in fact an authentic pizza place in NYC with a few locations. The NY owners are friends with some folks here in Utah which is how this branch got opened. The people making the food in the back actually went to NY to learn the cooking style and trained in person.Overall, pretty cool. I hope they stick around so I can continue eating there.
Ok pizza, not really anything special. I would rate the food 3 stars. Service was good on our visit, probably 5 stars. I don't quite understand the hype in the reviews, I guess it's because Sergio's is something new. If you order a full pizza it's about $24 - and for that money I would go to the Pie or a build your own pizza place over Sergio's. It's just really expensive for average pizza. We stopped by on a weeknight. They allow you to order by the slice, it's $3-4 per slice. The slices are very large, with thin crust. Good value on the slices, an adult would probably eat two.I'm not sure how long the slices were sitting there before we ordered, probably all day. They do heat up the slices for you which is definitely needed. The service was quick and friendly. The crust and cheese reheat pretty well. If you order a pizza with toppings, the toppings on our slices were really dry and chewy, and reheating doesn't fix the old chicken and veggies. The toppings weren't very flavorful. Just a little underwhelming all around. We tried several slices, the best were the white sauce cheese pizza and the buffalo chicken. Hawaiian was fine, comparable to anywhere else. The veggie and broccoli chicken had very old toppings, and all you could really taste was the broccoli. I'm sure it would be better fresh, but overall just not super impressed. It's pretty average pizza.
Excellent Pizza and pasta! The Grandmas Pizza melts in your mouth. The sauce is yummy! The chicken Alfredo was nice and creamy. The portion sizes are nice. We would highly recommend if your looking for yummy New York style food! The service is fantastic as well!
Was recommended this place by a friend who knows his stuff, and was not disappointed at all. I’m scrolling through the reviews there might have been some opening hiccups or people who didn’t know what to expect, but I can say quite surely that this is a fantastic New York pizza place. I don’t want to speak for anything but the pizza because in my mind, why would you get anything else here? I got a couple different slices and was deeply impressed by both, the Bianca was especially great. The standard pepperoni slice didn’t survive until I remembered to take a picture for the review.I can’t wait to find an excuse to go back.
This was our fourth or fifth time coming to Sergio's. We love it!!!! Some of the best pizza we've had since moving to Utah. This time we added the chicken cutlet sandwich and were not disappointed!!!
The worlds best pizza’s! No bias. Great crust and toppings! They are always friendly and have a fabulous staff. They go above and beyond with top notch customer service. It’s the only place we will go now!!! even if we have to wait for the line!
First time trying New York pizza, pizza has a unique taste that I have never seen, there were several pizza on the display to choose, pick your own pizza then staff would bake in the oven, hot pizza after few minutes. There was no extra cheese, no extra toppings, no extra seasoning blends baked onto the crust. The thin crust was perfectly crispy not oily, the ingredients were fresh and hot upon delivery and the price was really reasonable. The staff member was kindly explain for first time customer, they greeted as we walked in. They just open up down the street from us, we passed by few time before finally open. They gave us whole free pizza before we left with different slices of pizza. We will try buffalo wing, spaghetti meatballs on the next visit, want to taste NY Pizza then this place delivered.
Had a great experience at Sergio’s had a large meat lovers and some raviolis everything was excellent
