Yummy pizza! It was ginormous too. That was actually the only size to choose from when we went. They weren't usually open at that time, I guess, but they had opened just for accommodating the concert goers. So I wish I could have also ordered by the slice in order to try their margherita pizza (I had to get pepperoni for the kids to eat). I saw others ordering by the slice but they wouldn't allow me to order that particular kind that night. Bummer. But what we did get was very very good. It was fun to watch the large pizza dough being shaped and tossed. We were also grateful for their restroom because the public ones around the corner had recently been vandalized and were closed (argh!). The wait was a good 25-30 minutes or so which was a drawback. But that is because nothing else was open besides the bar (no kids can go there of course! -- which left me no options). I was expecting food trucks to be present for the concert like they used to be. So Maxwell's was really smart to stay open that night!! I want to go back again!
Pizza is really good and true to the “New York style”. There’s another restaurant in SLC that I like better, but it’s a little farther. I’m taking a star away because it’s so annoying that they don’t have a website…..in 2022. It’s not hard to upload your menu and put your hours on. I’d like to try other things but I don’t want to scroll images for a potential menu.
This place is the bomb. Pizza is really good. Fun atmosphere. Best of all are the fries. I don't know how they make them so good but I'll be coming back here just to eat the fries. They are crunchy, tasty, warm, everything you want from a good French fry, these have it. Come try them today! And while you're trying the fries, order some pizza too, it won't disappoint
We ordered a sandwich and fries, it was okay, but overpriced. Service was very poor. We waited 30 minutes and there was only one other customer present. When the food was delivered it was literally thrown onto our table by a staff member. The drinks were not brought to us, we had to go back inside to get them. We also had to go back inside and ask for ketchup and napkins. The GM came out to ask about our food and made excuses for the staff member (“maybe ___ was having a bad day,” the throwing of the food onto the table was “not intentional,” he would “talk to ___“). There was no offer to make the situation right with us.
It’s hard to find a good cheesesteak in Utah, and this place doesn’t skimp on quality. Tastes like Philly. I’m excited to try the pizza
Cheesesteaks were good. But pretty pricey for two sandwiches with nothing special about them. Took a long time and they forgot my drink cups.
Not the best pizza. Dough had a very green taste(yeasty flavor, likely needs more time to rise)Toppings are fresh, the only good thing. Philly cheese steak was nothing to write home about. Fries were lame. overall just flat out not worth the price. We won’t be going back, very disappointed. $75 for 2 pizzas, a cheesesteak sandwich and a 2 liter, just not worth it.
I never post a review, but the pizza was excellent, the crust was so good. One of the best pizzas we’ve ever had, and it’s local! We will be back.,
I love their NY style pizza no complaints on that. I’ll always rave about the pizza… However, I do have to complain about the meatball sub. I’m sorry but it was a let down. When I saw the giant meatballs from the original restaurant on DDD I dreamed of a sandwich full of them. A meatball sub should be big and messy! This was not… in one word it was skimpy. I wish I could comment on how good the meatballs were but they gave me a few slices and I couldn’t really taste much. The best I can say is that the meatball “slices” were at least moist. The sauce was a total let down because they barely drizzled it on there. SHOW ME THE GRAVY! I used one napkin with this meal and it was so clean I felt safe blowing my nose with it afterwards. At a $12 price point you’re robbing people with this sub Maxwell’s. Shame on you. Step up your game. I’m coming back because I really hope your Philly is worth the money, but we’ll see.If anyone wants a real meatball sub my advice is go to Moochies.
Consistent, and delicious. I love getting a slice of pizza and my husband raves about the Philly cheesesteak. You gotta get all the vegetable toppings, the peppers really seal the deal.
