The food is great here, on par with other Barbacoa restaurants. What makes this place 5 stars are the ladies behind the counter. They are the sweetest, warmest, most hospitable ladies. The manager/shift manager is incredible, you can tell she runs a tight ship but is also kind and mellow, but also no-nonsense. Also, the place is very clean. They were all cleaning unless they were helping customers.
I still prefer cafe Rio or costa Vida… but the salad I got was great and cheaper. There is no tortilla and the cilantro lime dressing tastes a lot like Italian dressing to me. I got the honey lime pork and it was good. They are generous with portions. I loved the Spanish rice and the lime rice. There are various salsa to choose from too! I got a pico and a corn salsa. Overall I had a great meal!
I must admit, I am biased toward Cafe Rio, but Barbacoa's honey pork has pineapple and was delicious. And when they say cilantro lime dressing, you can really taste the cilantro and lime! It was nice to get the salad for less than at Costa Vida or Cafe Rio (just heads up that it doesn't have a tortilla, which is fine with me). Oh, and to make a burrito (similar cost to one at Cafe Rio) enchilada style doesn't cost extra (which costs $1 more at the competitor)!Super friendly and patient service.

We hadn’t been to Barbacoa for several years so we decided to give it a try. Wow! It was so good! I love how you can build your own entree with all the ingredients that you love. We tried the Barbacoa beef and the Barbacoa pork. Both were excellent. The store was very clean and the employees were super friendly and professional. Even better, they have a drive thru!

We are regulars here. Today, however, they need special recognition. Food is amazing. The service is over the top wonderful. An all female crew that is friendly and goes the extra mile.
They always hook it up on burritos. Al pastor is amazing come here!!
