First time here.Very busy on a Sunday afternoon with only 3 young ladies running the place from what I could tell. These young ladies were working fast to attempt to catch up between the line at the dive thru and the customers inside. The one young lady that served me (the only one I interacted with) was polite. All were speedily working to serve all waiting customers.No tip jar or option to add tip when paying with card.Food was OK. Ended up tossing at least half of the smoothie. Started to taste like syrup when the ice began to melt.5 stars for the young ladies hustling like they were. 2 stars for seemingly being understaffed for the amount of cars in the drive thru and customers in the store.Maybe it was a fluke on a hot Sunday afternoon.
Purchase an edible straw however the cashier refused to give me my straw! She shut the window and went about playing with co worked playing loud music. They had the doors locked it was only 8:20pm . Had to go through drive through. Had to blow horn and knock on window just for a different person to come to the window and argue over a straw that was already payed for ... SMH
I really enjoyed this place. A friend of mine introduced me to it and I expect I'll be coming back here often. They have some healthier options compared to other places and the food was very delicious. I got the chicken caesar wrap and it was very delicious, my only gripe is that all the chicken was on the left side of the wrap and the veggies were all on the right side so I had to take two bites to get both at once, I would've preferred it if it was all mixed together. But all around a very positive experience, I will be coming back here in the future.
We placed an order of about 12 orders today for our company lunch. We do this every Friday with other restaurants and had heard great things about Tropical Smoothie Cafe. We placed the order online and it stated that it would be ready a little over 2 hours after placing the order. We quickly called as that is quite a long time to wait and had to call about 20+ times to get a hold of anyone. When someone finally answered she was very rude, told us that we should have placed a catering order, would not let us cancel the order to credit our card back and that must be done via email. She also refused to give us our name so we could reference this encounter in our email to the manager. We understand if this is a smaller business and cannot sustain a larger order of 12 people, however you do not need to be rude when we are just trying to call to get information. We will not be ordering from this location again.
I used to love coming here, but the quality of food and service has steadily declined over the past few years. These days they consistently screw up my order, have long wait times, and the staff don't have much sense of urgency or helpfulness. And they don't seem to have reliable supplier for straws, which seems pretty important for a smoothie place
This is usually my favorite place for Smoothies and I come here every week, but I had a really unusual situation occur the other night. I ordered two smoothies around 9:30 PM and the individual who took my order seemed off and made it seem like they didn’t want to be open and making food/smoothies. There was a bit of a wait but when I got the window the gentleman working handed me the smoothies and mentioned that the costs were on them for the night. I drive-off and realized that whatever they gave me was definitely not what I ordered and seems like it was a combination of whatever ingredients they had leftover for the night, blended together. I’m glad I didn’t have to pay for them but wish that the employees would’ve told me that they couldn’t make the smoothies instead giving me something that wasn’t very pleasant tasting. I usually have a very good experience coming here, but last night was very weird.
Don’t waste your time. They’re too busy taking selfies to service customers. And the smoothie we bought was absolutely flavorless. Normally it tastes great, but it seems they were too distracted to get it right this time.
I always give second chances and these guys blew it twice in a row. They get 2 stars because my kids liked their smoothies. I used their app and had the kids pick up the order on the way home. I ordered a salad with extra protein both times. Their system is almost fool proof with a printed sticker of the order attached to each item. Well, notice I said almost because my first salad "sticker" was attached to a wrap!!?? (Which was also missing the extra protein) Really? The second try was actually a salad but you guessed it, no extra protein that I paid for. (Again). It's not like I got all custom or anything. It's a whole new level of disappointing when they can't be bothered to read the order that's literally attached to the product. Count me out.
My only complaint was having to go all the way to Sandy. Their food is awesome, delicious, nutritious and the service is fast. Great smoothies, sandwiches, Quesadillas and more.
Was pretty good and you can add healthy stuff in your smoothies. I also liked that there were other options too.
