I've never had a good experience at Sizzles and today wasn't any different. Steak had to be sent back multiple times, the ribs were overcooked, the food was generally boring. Presentation was barely there. It felt phoned in at best. As usual. I will say the mega bacon burger was good, so +1 star there, but for a STEAK joint, I am disappointed. Its hard to get Medium Rare done correctly.Pros: the servers were patient and kind and deserve a raise. The place was clean and not TOO noisy. They had fresh salad at the salad bar.
Stay for the nostalgia, leave after a few bites of the food!I was legit pumped to come here and didn’t bother to read any of the online reviews. I wish I did but oh well, lesson learned.I remember coming here as a kid in Chicagoland with my grandparents and parents a few decades ago. So when we passed by I was “No way”. After passing by 6-8 times over several days, we came here for lunch on Wednesday.I was actually kinda shocked at the prices of some of the items especially since I thought the salad bar was included in all entrees. Nope.I did their Steak Sandwich - medium rare w fries and the salad bar. A waitress seats you and brings you your drinks.The elements for the salad was fine, the taco meat for the hard shells tacos was greasy and gross. The sandwich itself was ok as the bread felt like it was previously frozen and the fries were super salty. Fast forward to the soft serve ice cream and it’s runny.I didn’t appreciate some long haired male worker running his fingers through his locks without gloves and touching some of the plastic cups to be given to customers.Also for some odd reason, the floor was a little greasy.Thank god there are better steak places than this nostalgic joint.
Sizzler has really stepped up their game. Since cancer I don’t enjoy eating out much but on occasion I take my wife out so she can at least enjoy the meal. It helps bring normalcy back after Covid and cancer. I no longer have taste buds nor do I produce much saliva so eating isn’t that enjoyable. I have very few options since most everything is too dry to eat. The folks at Sizzler takes the guesswork out of where we should go. They give me the senior discount on the salad bar and they don’t mind that I bring my own beverage. Oh ya drink options are limited too. I drink a lot of almond and oat milk. Dairy milk causes thrush. Tonight Forrest took our order, he was companionate and kind. He connected with me telling me about his grandfather who actually died from throat cancer. The server was very accommodating as well. He offered a baked potato with my salad bar that I had to turn down but the offer was nice nevertheless. This is the kind of service that makes going out worthwhile even though I can’t taste what I am eating. Thank you Sizzler!!
The food was really good snd our waitress was very good.
The best part of our visit was the steak. It was cooked perfectly and the service was quite friendly, though it felt more routine than warm.The 'all you can eat' shrimp recipe seems a little dated and quite heavy on the bread.Would really like to see some updates to the staff training (and pay) to inspire more of a personal connection. Or at least some stumbled of hospitality that would engender more return visits.

Elegant place to dine in. Food , Top of the line Steaks and Salad bar was very Crisp and delicious. They have everything you need for a affordable dinner and party. I give this a big A+ in all. I will be back for more. Thank you Sizzler Staffing you were all excellently dressed and prepared.

Horrible took my son and friends here for dinner last night! $200 and all 7 steaks tasted burnt all ordered medium rare only 2 came that way. I told the server who was amazing. She sent her manger over, he seamed new to the job! He came up and ask how we are I said ok but all our steak are burnt you need to clean the grill. He said he had them clean the grill but never offered anything for our inconvenience, all say this a party comes to my restaurant and every one of them complains about the food I’d be making sure I took care of that geust not matter what! Sad day I threw away 200 on dinner!
