I was hungry and looking for a good place to eat, so I decided to try the Black Bear Diner in Sandy. The place had a really good vibe, it was clean, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly! I want to recognize my server Karol who was attentive and courteous. Next time I’m in Sandy, I’ll definitely stop by the Black Bear Diner again!
The Sandy Black Bear is the best one. Everyone is super kind and the food is always great. We have been lucky enough to get the server Karol on multiple occasions and she is seriously top tier. Friendly and keeps the drinks topped up all with a pleasant sunny attitude. Love her energy!
First time. Food was okay. Service was slow. Nice variety of selections....But I would probably eat there again unless I am in a hurry
Parking was close to the door, the lobby was clean the restrooms were clean. Friendly staff and good food. It is wheelchair accessible if needed.
This place is a joke. Went to pick up my take out order they tried to tell me I picked it up already, stood there like I should say ok and leave. Turns out they have my order to Uber and didn’t want to make me another. Had to insist they make my order again. Never again at this place!!! Btw this was a second chance the last take out I got from them they didn’t give me a couple of the items, no one could figure out how to credit me back. Stay away
What a great place! Wonderful food and the Waitresses are awesome!We had a wonderful breakfast, the food was prepared to perfection and tasted delicious!We had 2 different waitresses, (one went on break), and the hand off was seamless! Both were super friendly and we couldn't have asked for two nicer Ladies!We love this place and can't wait to come back!
Mary has been an incredible server, she is attentive, courteous and ensures a great experience. I go out of my way to have her as my server even if I need to wait for a table to open up in her area. She is 60% of the reason that I go to Black Bear, the other 40% is the great food! She is also very efficient with all of her customers and I actually enjoy watching her work!Gail Peterson
Food was on the low-side of average for diner fare. It took the kitchen a long time to make our meals, and although some food was fine, there were some bad outliers. One biscuit was raw in the middle, and one order of chicken fried steak tasted off (especially when compared to another order the table received). We got it refunded, but it shouldn’t have been served in the first place (the meat tasted old, and the dish was cold like it had been sitting around). I would not recommend this location.
Friendly, really affordable, fast, and most importantly, delicious! I am celiac and they were able to accommodate me. Look how much FOOD! I got the vegetarian omelet with Avacado and coffee. Recommend ??!!!
We were in the area for a school function. The popularity of this restaurant is what brought us in. I ordered two eggs over hard, hashbrowns, bacon and it came with a biscuit. The hashbrowns were raw, the biscuit was three days old, and the eggs were unidentifiable. Thank God the bacon was cooked correctly. It just takes a few minutes to cook breakfast correctly. It was really disappointing I don’t get it.
