in town briefly for a conference and really wanted to eat here, based on excellent reviews. Ran out of time, so went online and ordered the avocado salad, the brussels sprouts, and the hazelnut torte, with instructions that I was taking these on a plane and needed the packaging to be leakproof. Not only was the food amazing, but their packaging for the brussels sprouts withstood a full 24 hours (travel adventures on Delta!) with brown cardboard containers taped shut, with a thick 'saran wrap' wrapping. The torte was creamy and flavorful with a complex crust including coconut, the avocado salad was huge (could have easily fed two as a main course) with tasty dressing and perfectly ripe avocado. The star was the brussel sprouts masala, which I will try to replicate at home-- spicy and with great nut texture, I would eat this weekly if only I lived in SLC. Also-- the meal was ready exactly on time-- I swung by in my Lyft on the way to the airport. Exceeded expectations, well done!
Stopped in without a reservation (sorry, didn't realize that was necessary!!) but they were still willing to seat us at the bar. The restaurant was insanely busy that evening but certainly didn't mean bad service.Everyone was very friendly and did their best to keep things moving. I am not a vegan eater, but was very impressed with the quality and taste of the meal. The drink was delicious also!Next time that I'm in SLC, it'll be on the list for a repeat visit!
We arrived at 8:15 pm - the restaurant closed at 9. We were not greeted by a hostess so they bartender got her attention, and she told us to sit wherever. We went to sit in the upper level, but there were tables still covered w dirty dishes. The wait staff were busily cleaning, sweeping and sorting silverware for the next day- ciearly more focused on jumpstarting the close vs allowing the diners to enjoy a nice dinner. We had no napkins, silverware or plates. We asked for some when we got our appetizer. Only got silverware. Had to ask for plates. We got 2 small plates, great for the appetizer. We were sharing the mains, and when they arrived, no bigger plates were offered, so we asked for 2. We got 1. The food was quite good, but this restaurant had been on my list since pre-pandemic …and I won’t rush back. Note that I have never written a restaurant review here, but this was so disappointing!
Food was yummy. Carrot cake was amazing! The drinks were super good. 5 stars for thatThe customer service has much to be desired. Maybe because we arrived after 2pm and the lunch rush was over. Only one person waiting on the tables. It was not busy, so that makes sense. But the greeting person, the waitress, and one more would be on the phone or in the back sitting and chatting while we waited to order drinks and then to get the cake… and then again we had to go to the back to call an individual in so we can get the bill and check out.I presume they do better with more crowds in. We chose to go later to avoid the traffic but actually spent longer given the inadequate attention devoted to the patrons.I will go again. Definitely. But when it is busier. I’d hope the customer service is different then.
What a fantastic place! Food was delicious - I had the soup of the day (which was so good - creamy cauliflower with curry spices to add some depth of flavour). It came with a cheese toastie which was just delicious. Cocktail was also good. And the service - exceptional! Such warm friendly servers who also gave great advice about the menu. I’ll be back for sure! And even if you are not vegan- I encourage you to try!
Nice cutecrestaurant, excellent service, food was absolutely delicious! We got to try the biscuits, Cuban tacos and breakfast pizza. To finish the evening, we tried the chocolate beet cake. The sangria was also amazingly delicious!!!
Horrific staff. Called to cancel our reservation because we were running late for another function and the woman who answered the phone went ballistic. She screamed and yelled at me like someone who’d completely lost her mind. I finally had to hang up on her because she went on and on, ramping herself up. It was a terrifying and disturbing experience. Not sure if she was an employee, manager or owner, but she was absolutely toxic.
We had an incredibly delicious vegan dinner of grilled Brussel sprouts, pizza (which I really liked), and a curry dish. We also enjoy some really well crafted cocktails.
We had cocktails, the Thai Sunrise curry, Irish stew, jackfruit pizza, and cheesy biscuits. Everything was excellent! I’d especially recommend biscuits and the Last Dance cocktail with bourbon.
100% gluten, soy & dairy free!! This place is divine. The food is tasty, filling and pretty. Aaaaaand, it's also reasonably priced! This visit, I ordered the grilled "cheese" with pesto, house-made "cheese", avocado, vegan eggs (my first time trying vegan eggs, I eat a TON of chicken eggs, but the vegan eggs are my new favorite. I'm not vegan, but this place could turn me.(ps-try the tiramisu!!)
