Portion sizes are large! My friend and I shared the club sandwich which was delicious! I’ve been here in the past and have never had any problems with the food. They have changed the menu which was a little disappointing but times change. The place could definitely use a few upgrades but the staff is friendly and attentive. The prices are great too!
Exquisite place with a very original decoration and good design as of yesteryear, the very good location can be quickly accessed by several avenues and streets, a lot of parking and first class food! Peaceful and comfortable place, very friendly and helpful staff, only the toilets are deteriorated and damaged, so it is important to pay attention to it, for this point I give 4 stars, otherwise magnificent, the portions are very large and fair for the price that is pay highly recommended place
Super wonderful food. No, this is not a fancy restaurant. This is a place where you go if you want to feel like family. The staff is always friendly. The food is consistently good. I am the MOST picky eater. Had the French dip. There was no surprise meat, nothing icky or chewy - just good. My husband had the chicken fried steak. HUGE portion. He enjoyed it. We have been eating here for a very long time, and it never fails to make me happy!
This was my favorite go to spot for yearsand years. Nearly a decade in fact, but unfortunately I feel it has gone down hill a bit. The last 2 times I went the food wasn't nearly as flavourful and fresh as it used to seem. My daughter also ordered a smiley face pancake and received a simple pancake both times, leaving her a bit disappointed. This time our food came out in under 5 minutes which is great, but leaves me to believe it was sitting there. Mine in particular was even cold for coming right out of the kitchen. There was only 5 people in the restaurant including me and it used to always be booming. I'm saddened to this amazing joint see a decline, but I know it has incredible potential and I desperately hope to see it come back. Lastly, and thankfully, my server was very nice.
I must say I am surprised. For years I have wanted a to come here. I always thought it was a seafood place. Boy was I wrong. Virg's is an all around restaurant that reminds me of that old out of the way restaurant that my grandmother took me to when I was a kid. The atmosphere is very inviting and comfortable but not flashy. One of my biggest plusses is the staff. I have not had a server that pleasing and REAL in a long long time. I was even getting my meal to go and both servers that were helping me were just down to earth friendly. I so traveled back in time to the best place to go. I got the cod fish and chips. Like I said I got it to go. I asked for extra sauce and she did just that. Man those were so perfect. The texture was just right. The centers were cooked all the way through but but to much or to little. The tartar sauce had just the right flavors to not over power the fish but to compliment it. Wow!!! The fries cooked to a golden crispy perfection were so good I literally are ever one. I usually don't ever do that. I have found my new favorite heaven. Virg's would get a perfect 10 out of 10 if the rating went that high. Just now my 5 star signifys my highest I truly can give. I recommend Virgs highly for family, date night or just a casual single sit down. Thanks Virgs for the amazing and delicious experience. I will be back. Especially because I forgot to take pictures of my food it was so good.

Tues, ~11-noon. This was good, busy but not bad. Waitress was good making sure we had everything we needed. Burgers here start out at a ½ lbs and go to 2lbs. Choice of fries or tots. They also have breakfast and dinners that sound good. Food came out quick and hot. Also have their own fry sauce, always a must.
Awesome food, always, great attentive service. No matter what we have ordered, it's been yummy.Today my husband had the Hawaiian breakfast and he is still raving about how good it was!
Only reason I'm giving one star is because the service was great and our server was very nice. The down side is that this place desperately needs a face lift. The windows are gross and the blinds need to be replaced.. There was no handsoap in the bathroom and it felt kinda gross inside.My son ordered the 1 pound burger and then ended up with food poisoning. He is visiting from out of town and I ended up having to change his return flight because of that.I'll be contacting the health dept.
Jason was our waiter. TERRIBLE!! even got an "im sorry" look from the people at the next booth....that terrible We waited over 10 minutes just to get coffee. Had to ask for creamer. Refill my coffee several times. Gave my food to the wrong table. Just dropped it down and ran, had to get hot sauce from the other tables Because he didn't even ask if we needed anything for our meal when he put it on our table. Asked for jam for my toast. It was endless having to ask for every little thing that would normally be included with your experience. Terrible
